A little birdie told me that McVay REALLY likes Kyle McCord. And the Rams know the Jets love him.

He compared it to the Bo Nix situation last year.

But neither team are sure where they're going to draft him.

And this birdie that told me this has over 100k followers on X and is an NFL media member and Draft guy.

I too like McCord, but he’s another one of those that stares down one receiver on every play. For sure would be great as a later round pick, but he would need to sit for maybe two years before he’s ready IMO

Man, I reeeeeaaally dislike the #6 jersey number on QBs. I think just because of that I have to reject him........stats, athletic ability, accuracy......meh. Jersey number.....that's what counts!

I love McCord but I am biased
The more I watched of him since that comment the more I see career backup but hey we all need those. Also don't think he's athletic enough for McVay's recent comments but he was a good college QB. Anybody else on that team worth taking a look at?

Hog farmer hits the big time with NFL inside source. :laugh2:

I can believe that though. But if this were to happen I think the @den-the-coach victory lap would be shameful. Like maybe in the nude or something.

Oronde Gadsden at TE or Lequint Allen at RB would be nice grabs on day 3. Fadil Diggs flashed and was a versatile player for us but tended to disappear for stretches. I always liked Marlowe Wax at off ball LB but haven't heard any buzz about him whatsoever. Could be a nice UDFA target.

In fairness McCord can spin it, but the lack of ability to run the football is why the Buckeyes moved on from McCord and went with Will Howard. I tend to agree that McCord in ability to run would lead the Rams to drafting another signal caller that has that ability, I just have not figured out who that player is.

Oronde Gadsden at TE
Not sure on Gadsden, watched plenty of Syracuse games being here in Guilderland, NY and Gadsden seem to disappear at times and it not the greatest blocker.. One game I recall, he missed a big block that led to a turnover and it seemed to bother him the whole game which led to a dismal performance.

Dart's the perfect fit I think. He needs a redshirt but it just so happens we have Stafford. So you draft him, let him cook on the depth chart while McVay and staff work him up, and then next offseason look at where he is and make your call with 9.

I agree. He’s got all the physical skills and it’s up to the team who drafts him to get him trained for the NFL

I don't disagree with that assessment, but I think he'd be a nice developmental prospect on day 3. He has long arms and good hands. I liked him even better in 2022 before his lisfranc injury in 2023. Syracuse had a joke of an offense where we ended the season starting our backup tight end at QB and Gadsden put up just as good of numbers in that BS offense as he did this year with McCord at QB. Definitely understand the trepidation though, he's far from a finished project.
