In regards to the "chipping" of Garrett. Let's compare to another Rams DE. Garrett was chipped by a back or TE 2x the amount Verse was and he was double teamed by the OL 20% more than Verse was. This was mentioned by NFL writer Ted Nygun on the Rich Eisen Show today.
So his impact on this line will be immense. And again, he probably didnt get as many pass rush opportunities considering teams were rarely if ever scrambling to catch up to the Browns.
In fact the most amazing stat is that Garrett has only enjoyed a lead of greater than 7 points, eight times in his entire career in Cleveland. Think about that. Teams never, ever, were in desperate catch up mode, where he could pin his ears back and rush the passer.
This is going to be a fun season if they stay relatively healthy.
