I hope Verse does well with the Browns. I'm pretty certain he'll still be up there in pressures. But will he finish more? That's what he needed to work on with us - not letting the QB get away. We may see a difference in the 2 players this season in that regard.

Listen, there's no denying Verse is a great player. And did ALOT for the Rams. He was SO good he landed us Hall-Of-Famer Myles Garrett.

All good.

Yeah, this is not somebody traded for somebody else, who became a HOFer. This is a legitimate HOF, in his prime, Verse was traded for, so that says as much about Jared Verse as it does about Miles Garrett. Verse is already an excellent player and if the Rams didn't have him, the deal may not have been done. He needs some refinement but he should/will eventually be a great player. Sooner rather than later.

ok... on the "everything you need to know about the myles garrett trade video above...

i thought it was interesting until the line "he was chipped on pass plays 143 time last season...

one out of every 3 passes he was double teamed??? and that's it??!!!!

AD was double teamed or triple teamed and held EVERY PASS PLAY....

sorry bud... i'm going with AD rewriting the sack record book with a return this year...

AD with one out of three pass play double teams??!!.... GAME OVER FOLKS...

i won't be able to get to las vegas quick enough with that money in the bank bet..

go rams

slo
In regards to the "chipping" of Garrett. Let's compare to another Rams DE. Garrett was chipped by a back or TE 2x the amount Verse was and he was double teamed by the OL 20% more than Verse was. This was mentioned by NFL writer Ted Nygun on the Rich Eisen Show today.

So his impact on this line will be immense. And again, he probably didnt get as many pass rush opportunities considering teams were rarely if ever scrambling to catch up to the Browns.

In fact the most amazing stat is that Garrett has only enjoyed a lead of greater than 7 points, eight times in his entire career in Cleveland. Think about that. Teams never, ever, were in desperate catch up mode, where he could pin his ears back and rush the passer.

This is going to be a fun season if they stay relatively healthy.

That really is an insane stat. I'd be interested to see how many times Verse has been in that situation in only 2 seasons. A quick look shows that we won by greater than 7 points 8 times last season alone and I remember us having a lead of more than 7 points in a few of the games we both won and lost. I don't even know how it's possible for a team to be as bad as the Browns are for that long.

All you need is an owner who insists on acquiring over hyped QBs and giving one 250m guaranteed.

Its almost a variation of Eff Them Picks. Verse was the only first round pick in the McVay era. And they parlayed that pick into a proven all pro and Hall of Famer.
