Seattle hawks forum running the emotional spectrum... somewhere between it won't matter, I hate them, we're better anyway... and desperate.
Hard to believe we couldn’t have outbid them. That’s likely due to them packaging Verse in the deal (which makes it a little less painful for us)
I assume they are the undisputed favorites now. That will make it all the sweeter when we knock them out of the playoffs.

Rams are legit going all in this year. I hope this becomes a huge flop

I have been told several times that I'm crazy and I'm just a Rams hater. My point has been proven about the Rams, yet again. There is NO WAY they are not cheating the system.

I'm not gonna' sit here and claim that this doesn't make the Rams a lot better. This is ridiculous. How in the world can they afford this crap? And somehow, they'll be able to afford a massive contract for POOka.

Yeah, Verse is legit. Trading away younger talent for older talent seems a bit desperate --- but it will pay off at least this year.

Yeah, Verse is pretty damn good. It certainly helps, but geezus man. Like THAT team needs another beast?

They mortgaged their future in a 25 year-old Jared Verse for a 30 year-old Myles Garrett. They’re likely to get 4 to 5 years tops out of Garrett.
They are clearly shooting for a two year window, with Stafford and McVay, before having to rebuild the team from scratch
If that’s not desperation, I don’t know what is

Did Seattle get Garrett?
No.
Did Seattle really even have a chance?
No, not without making stupid moves.
Does Seattle still have their 1st round picks in 2027 and 2028, and all 12 picks in 2027?
Sweet cayenne pepper molasses, YES!

I'd mortgage the future too if I had two decent years of a franchise left.

It's honestly fine. We just won the SB, and it's in the books for good. This is them lamenting that they missed a golden opportunity so they're going all in for one this year (and they still have to run the gauntlet and do it). Take a look at Spotrac...their roster construction for 2027 doesn't look so good. We're much better set up for longer term success even if they're the favorite this year.

I prefer what Schneider is doing, building for long-term competitiveness, but if I had the Rams situation, I’d be making the desperation move too. Pay the piper in three to four years, and shoot your shot now.
Two different philosophies, and it will be interesting to see which one comes out on top in the long run

I have no worries about Mike knowing how to scheme Myles. None at all.
