Donald's great but you started to see the age a bit the last two years. I still think he could be great on a pitch count.

If he comes back, will he be double and tripled teams like those two years? With Garrett, Turner, Fiske and Young on the field?

Garrett’s TFL also stands out. Out of 60 tackles 33 were for loss?

He is absurdly good.
In my opinion an all time edge/end rusher.....in Reggie White territory.

Young did not out play Verse. Sacks are only 1 aspect of their play. Verse was way more disruptive than Young and many of Youngs sacks came cleaning up the mess Verse caused.

You are correct in terms of Verse causing a lot of disruption and moving the QB off his spot.
Young is good player though.

From everything I heard / read yesterday, Cleveland was not interested in a trade unless Verse was included; and it still took Verse, #1, #2 and #3. That suggests that Young and two #1s might not have been enough.

Also, with the 5th year rookie option for former 1st rounders, Cleveland has control of the 25-year-old Verse for three more years. By comparison, Young is 28 and is a free agent next year.

Yeah, I just heard some talking heads talking about trade options that MAY have been on the table. I didn't hear anything Id consider reliable.
That said, this trade is no brainer to me.
Especially with the picks spread out over three years.
I love Verse and he is a very good and evolving player. He may not have hit his peak.
Garrett is one of the best pass rushers in NFL history.
Would you trade Chris Long for Reggie White.....cause that is about the comparison I can come to off the top of my head.

I LOVE how the Rams structured this trade spreading the picks out.
They traded 3 high picks but spread out the damage.
The Rams still have a 2nd and 3rd in 2027, a 1st and 3rd in 2028 and a 1st and 2nd in 2029. Unlike other years they have not given a draft away the top end of an entire draft for a player. They could certainly make more trade between now and those drafts, but, the structure is great for the Rams.

Suddenly? I used to go to the Rams/Shecocks game up in Seattle every year. They are wannabe badass fucks - almost every one I met up there. When we were kicking their asses, there were more Rams jerseys than shecock jerseys. Then they started winning and the bandwagoners came out of their musty basements. I have been to several NFL stadiums with no issues. Not so with Sheattle. Bunch of plaid wearing band wagoners.

I used to live in Lake Stevens (Seattle suburb). The Rams were at Seattle for a Thursday night game (I think), Zuerlein missed a game winner and the whole area around me started shooting fireworks, for a regular season game. They are insufferable.

My apologies, was a knee-jerk reply. Garrett, though, hasn't had less than 14 sacks in any of the last 5 years, last year was not a one-off anomaly, and 2 time DPOY playing on a shit team

Understandle brother. After giving sometime and listening to some here and in other areas of social media, I have warmed up to the idea and realize that my initial response was also influenced by a knee jerk reaction. Cheers!

@David Ray Did you ever see the All 22 on that play - it clearly shows Ramsey staying with the receiver step for step and then Ramsey looking back and seeing Donald grab Burrow and Ramsey jumping in the air and falling down.

Look at Garretts career stats. I think Verse will grow into a player whos just as good. Last year was an anomaly for Garrett and is 30 yrs old. I dont think this moves the needle for us winning a SB and shortens the longevity of what could be a very dominant line.

After marinating with the trade, I really think Les and Sean are going to target a veteran backup QB.
