You know what I'm wondering at this point, what does Byron Young look like after learning from Garrett? I think there's a high probability Young has more sacks than Verse over the next 3-5 years.

This also doesn't account for the double teams Garrett commands. Identical to AD you cant single block him so he will be double teamed non stop. Who else benefits from the more 1v1s and spacing? Does Kobe have a career year? Fiske? The talent upgrade we just got at pass rush can't be understated IMO.
Been watching him for the last 5 years as a Browns fan. Dude was doubled constantly, sometimes tripled. They’d chip, keep in their tight ends, pretty much everything from him getting to the qb and he still set the record. The last few games last year teams, didn’t want the record against them and completely schemed around him. It was wild. Cincinnati were having Burrow take 3 step drops and getting rid of it.

He is going to make your other guys get lots of opportunities too. Unfortunately in Cleveland he was on the field constantly because the offense sucks so bad, so usually by 4th quarter he would be gassed. I’ll be very curious what he will do when he doesn’t have to be on the field the whole game. As much as I hate to see him go in Cleveland, I’ll enjoy seeing him succeed, and will also be very very curious about how having an offense will impact his performance.

I think the Rams have a spreadsheet and they constantly project where the money goes. Verse might have been someone they see getting a big contract so might as well pay Garrett while the rookie QB contract covers some years.

Well - don’t forget about Byron Young. He is due a big contract.IMO it makes it a slam dunk not to resign him.He will bring a COMP pick which helps the 3rd pick The Rams gave up in the trade.

What would Rams D look like if AD did come out of retirement? Out 2 yrs, I doubt it would take very long or him to get in game shape.

Keep DREAMING dude !! When they talk about me hitting the pipe.

What would it COST to get him out of retirement? Love it if there was NO salary cap.Back in the Day.Stan Kronke has the money.Look at what The Dodgers are doing(spending) across town.

If you are talking about Ramsey he fell down while looking back and jumping to celebrate when Donald grabbed Burrow
Ramsey was horrible in that game, as he was mostly that whole postseason. And I'm NOT including the Higgins face-mask play in my assessment. Yes, he was beat (once again) on Bengals final play. AD saved his, and OUR asses.

just watched a highlight vid...

i love the violence he brings with his play... nothing short of eyepopping...

verse is not close to this guy...

phenomenal trade...

I know how great of a player Myles Garrett is and understand the excitement on this board. I am not thrilled about trading Jared Verse so I have some seriously mixed emotions right now. Rams got a great player but the Browns got an up a coming superstar and a great teammate in this deal. As a Rams fan I’m about equally excited as I am bummed. Hopefully both players are great for their new teams. It’s definitely an ALL IN MOVE.

Up and coming Superstar???

Nah, I'm not gonna allow that without challenge. He's still a wait-and-see case in my mind as far as SUPER star goes. Star? Maybe.

Board? Thoughts?

This seems very similar to Lions fans after we acquired Staff. Wanted us to go win it all for their Legacy Franchise Player who wallowed in losing only due to team incompetence.
I mean… it’s not fun, but yeah, I want him to do well. I am also glad he’s going to a winning franchise. He’s a fun player to watch and will be on any team and any field. I’m glad they traded him out of the AFC but unfortunately I agree, too much incompetence in Cleveland. If Stefanski goes down to Atlanta and does well, I wouldn’t be surprised. Anyways, still Myles has several prime years left.

He has to regress not to end up becoming a star. Superstar will take an additional move, better tackling when he gets into the backfield and add'l all-pros/pro bowls.
