Seems if Karty has technique issues, the damn coach should fix it. Blackburn is terrible and needs to go, period. There are free runners shooting off the edges every week. The scheme is not good.
I'm the opposite. I do want to see McVay going for it more often. He's conservative by nature, but I think he'd be better served if he went for those 4th and short more often. It all adds up to.....................misses.
Rams got to get this straightened out and quick. We are going to the playoffs and I do not want to see McVay going for it when we should just kick a FG.
Yeah, basically Karty has 3 weeks to win his job back or he has to go.Can use him 3 times from Practice Squad? Is that correct?
McVay said fixing the field goal operation is something they're "continuously trying to be able get our hands wrapped around," and that "we've talked about this probably more than anything that I've ever had to talk about since I've been the head coach of the Rams."
If Mevis plays well, and if I'm Karty, I'd be very worried.Yeah, basically Karty has 3 weeks to win his job back or he has to go.
True enough.Time will tell if this is right.

So basically, "It's complicated.""There's a lot of layers to it," McVay said prior to Friday's practice, when asked what led him to make the decision to start Mevis instead of incumbent Joshua Karty.
Good Lord, "there's a lot of layers to it" should be the basis for a drinking game... ya gotta take a drink every time McVay says it!
That phrase should be the go-to answer to ANY difficult question.
Q: So why did you rob the bank and then cheat on your wife?
A: "There's a lot of layers to it"
