If a change in kickers solves the problems then I'm all for it. But I'm not convinced the blocking is not at least part of the problem. We will see. I would not give up on Karty so soon. Keep him on the roster and see how the change works over the next few games. Whatever the case I hate kicking to be a problem again. We have not been able to feel comfortable about anyone we put out there the past few years.

Let's see what Mevis can do. I don't expect much change (not with Blackburn as coach, that is), but I'm hoping for the best.

It all adds up to.....................misses.
Rams got to get this straightened out and quick. We are going to the playoffs and I do not want to see McVay going for it when we should just kick a FG.
I'm the opposite. I do want to see McVay going for it more often. He's conservative by nature, but I think he'd be better served if he went for those 4th and short more often.

Weird situation with Karty being kept on. Makes me think maybe that they believe in him and he’s the most talented - but he needs a couple weeks to fix some issues. In the meantime, using this other guy. Idk maybe

McVay said fixing the field goal operation is something they're "continuously trying to be able get our hands wrapped around," and that "we've talked about this probably more than anything that I've ever had to talk about since I've been the head coach of the Rams."

Blackburn must have some great pics of Coach throwin down. :laugh3:

Yeah, basically Karty has 3 weeks to win his job back or he has to go.
If Mevis plays well, and if I'm Karty, I'd be very worried.

And if he plays great, i.e. for example hits a long FG to win this fuckin game, well... It's been nice knowing you Karty.

"There's a lot of layers to it," McVay said prior to Friday's practice, when asked what led him to make the decision to start Mevis instead of incumbent Joshua Karty.

Good Lord, "there's a lot of layers to it" should be the basis for a drinking game... ya gotta take a drink every time McVay says it!

That phrase should be the go-to answer to ANY difficult question.

Q: So why did you rob the bank and then cheat on your wife?
A: "There's a lot of layers to it"

A: "There's a lot of layers to it"
So basically, "It's complicated."
