The Browns are the massive pile of shit in the early going of every draft that the top ranked dudes pray they don't step in.
It's tiring as all hell to see those fuckers at the top of every draft, in that upper range. And yeah, they'll be there again next year and one of these young QBs will have shit squeezing out between their toes on draft night.

Well the guy was wide open by 8 yards.
Seemed like a remedial pass play, but he did get it to the target while on the run.
I'd feel better if he was 6-3 or 6-4..... He actually looks shorter than 6-2....and he has a small frame.
I think Simpson is kind of a quarterback's quarterback if that makes sense. Not much there to get the draft analysts excited but does all the little things right that the guys who actually played the game notice.
I think a few teams may have been tempted by Dante Moore if he came out. But yeah when he went back the first pick has been locked in.
I know you don't like Simpson much, but in simple terms, what is it that you feel he's deficient in? His head, his arm, his legs?FIFY.
I'm not gonna speak for him but I do think I understand that one.
Klubnik supposedly represents good value and he'd be drafting him as QB2. Simpson would be for QB1 and bad value.
I just don't know why Simpson cant be a legit QB1.

I see Simpson as a midround value. But he's been paraded around by the fucking media as some first round value. So I push back on that, and I think there's a lot of reasons to back that up. Small sample size. Lot of years on the bench alluding to lack of compete. Small frame. Enough arm. Not particularly athletic.
I see Mr. Average Klubnik as a midround value. But he has not been paraded around by the fucking media as some first round value. Bigger sample size. He's bigger than Simpson. He feels the rush better than Simpson. He makes defenders miss in the pocket more than Simpson. Enough arm. He is more athletic than Simpson.
This stuff is on film. I'm not making it up. Do any teams agree with me? Probably not. Feels like there's this love of Simpson when he's basically in the same group as Klubnik, Nussmeier, etc.
So it's not that I love Klubnik. Rather that I think he's the best fit for McVay from among those middling QB2 types.
No way we draft Simpson or a QB high IMO. McVay respects Stafford too much to not maximize this window and provide as much support as possible for him this year. Maybe mid-to-late we take a flier but first 2-3 picks I think very low probability, regardless of what outside analysts might think.

Like Bennet, but won't say he's a good QB, (or even a good back-up) - I would however like to see him play in a real game.
I also think you're reaching a bit calling Corum, Smith and Mumfield "starters".
Maybe, but even if so....just barely.
Fair enough, significant contributors maybe? Corum was seeing 30-40% of the snaps, Smith 35-50%, Mumpfield 40-45% so it would seem disingenuous to call them bench guys

When I look at Perkins, Wolford and even Mannion, no comparison imo, (obviously not including Jimmy G).
One thing is sure is that with all the clamor over the Rams possible selection of Simpson at #13 means it won't happen. Especially with some talking head predicting it.
