Well, if Daboll and Shoen want to save their jobs then they do what it takes to get Stafford. He gives them a bigger upgrade than any player they pick at 3.There is a better chance that Patrick Mahomes demands a trade to the Rams than the Giants trading the number 3 pick for a QB that has 2-3 years left.
Maybe Stafford ends up on the Giants (highly highly unlikely), but if he does, it’s not gonna be for the 3rd pick. It will be for two 3rds and a 4th or something similar.
Plus, the Rams traded Goff, a third round pick and two firsts in order to get Stafford. That’s equal to at least three firsts. If they trade him now that would be 3 firsts round picks for only 4 years of Stafford.
So one first round pick for 2-3 years of Stafford is reasonable.
How about this years Giants second round pick, plus next years first round pick. Thats equal to two second round picks. But I’m not throwing in Jonah Jackson in that case.
