I agree every season is its own entity! But I think what is consistent is that you pretty much cannot win the Super Bowl without an elite QB. And if we lose Stafford, I am not so sure how the Rams will find another elite QB in replacement. Stafford, barring sudden decline, which can happen with age, should give us at least a few more years. When is the last time a team won a SB without an elite QB? The Eagles did it in 2017 with Foles, but before that, I cannot even think of one in recent memory. Maybe Russell Wilson? But in his prime he was arguably pretty elite, even if not at the absolute top of the QB position group, and that is already bringing us back to 2012 or so, as I was still in university... over a decade ago, the NFL has changed a lot in that time, you can for sure win in many different ways, but without an elite QB, the odds are pretty long.I'm in the minority that believes that each season is it's own entity and that one year's results doesn't guarantee success or failure for the following season and that there more than one way to compete for a Championship.
I just have faith that McVay/Snead can come up with a team that can win with or without Stafford. And I believe that they believe the same. But I understand how the unknown worries some.
I don’t think THOSE are ‘minority’ beliefs. Think most of ROD agrees with them.I'm in the minority that believes that each season is it's own entity and that one year's results doesn't guarantee success or failure for the following season and that there more than one way to compete for a Championship
Yeah, what we accomplished this year won't mean squat next year. I just want to be consistently competitive in the future. Got to plan and work towards it. We did it with the defense ( sans Donald), now let's at least start working towards a future on the offense with or without Stafford .I'm in the minority that believes that each season is it's own entity and that one year's results doesn't guarantee success or failure for the following season and that there more than one way to compete for a Championship.

The Eagles very easily could win tomorrow without an elite QB... Now, he is effective in their scheme, but not "elite".I agree every season is its own entity! It's too early for this shit, holy fuckin Batman!Needed to put this here !! OMG- I’m crazy!!!!
Not going to blame them. They were dominating. The time on the clock was a factor.
You know playing in the snow, down by how many The Rams were ext ext ext ……..
Proud of the way The Rams played.They. Ouldnhave slowed it down a little more,or a quicker count ?
Play calling imo was always a question mark as well. There were a lot of reasons.
The intensity was there. B.Limmer had a tough day.To think Jonah Jackson was healthy??? Good for the future. Big Rob you have to cover up ,or Stafford has to take a smaller drop & (or) give a peak ??
Still why Alaric Jackson isn’t resigned for 2 more years to a Noteboom type contract ?
I still think The Rams F’d up for YEARS not getting bigger guards. Noteboom & Allen should have never been resigned & replaced with bigger inside guys.
L. Dickerson is the player I wanted to draft. You can look back at The Top 5 interior Linemen.I mean we all saw what happened & US RAM FANS SCREAMING!!
Tutu Atwell maybe resigned & loved by Ram Fans now.To think he might replace Kupp. His career is just getting started.
What STUD Dickerson is.He is a LG & a BEAST!!! He can play center, but if anyone watched him against Washington?? At LG !! That Tush Push is UNSTOPPABLE!! With him HURT(lol) at center, not so much.
Creed Humpries taught by Austin Blythe?? Yeah & why Shelton wasn’t brought back & resigned 2 years ago to a multiple year contract. He EARNED IT !!
Why not Whiterspoon??? He EARNED IT !! Freaking PISSES ME(WE) OFF!! How lucky for signing Dotson, but pick ONE ?? Johna Jack or Dotson ?? Steve Avila wasn’t good at LG for FOUR SEASONS!! Why over think it. He was PENCILED IN !! NO BRAINER !!
Yeah - I wouldn’t mind The Rams with JUSTIN FIELDS at 25 !! He is my pick for SEAN MCVAY & THE RAMS !! Experience,Talent (upside), & PRICE(contract)
I’ll stick to my guns.He is a player I think might be that guy at 25 who might be able to be coached up !!
AN EXCELLENT BACKUP!! AT BEST !!
Look back at a player in KAP ?? Jimmy G might deserve a shot!! He is a winner, meaning he has played for winning teams. He is a veteran that has confidence & control???
Maybe not ?? His last drive??? I don’t know, but I liked how he controls the game, uses his RB’s( outlets), and feels the pocket. He still takes those sacks, but he gives you enough chances to win & put up points ???
Maybe give Stafford one last run, which makes me MAD!! They didn’t plan it right ?? Sean Mcvay in my mind might’ve gotten it & will take more control of THE RAMS FUTURE!!!
I hope watching Andy Reed & Steve SPAGS gives him that HOF inspiration ? He knowing Tomlinson & Raheem ? I don’t know , but I’ll still say Kupp & Stafford in Pitt would be pretty cool to see ??
Justin Field is a player I see with Mcvay at the very least.Just think Mac Brown,& the 9er Legend.. could you imagine if Jimmy G & Tre Lance were both Rams in 2025 ??
Zach Taylor , no thanks.Truth is is that they all are better now than as in rookies ?? IMO- my theory & thinking is QB’s need time. Brock sure was mature for his AGE(wow),but yeah what would Winston look in Horns? Look at Gino ???
—Mcvay knows but there is a GEM out there ? Please not FLACCO !!
Jimmy G(em) ?
I guess it really depends upon one's definition of elite.I agree every season is its own entity! But I think what is consistent is that you pretty much cannot win the Super Bowl without an elite QB. Yeah when you are using the word “likely” - it’s eye opening. Week ir two ago, I’d have thought “absolutely” return. Unless he was thinking retirement. But this is all from the Rams side; not him. He already said he’s definitely playing in 2025. Very interesting indeedI still think it's far from a guarantee and still 50/50.
I'm going to continue to hope for the best and expect the worst.
You are correct! But to that I would say: (1) they still have to win, and I personally think KC takes it specifically becuase of their QB advantage! (2) even if Philly pulls it off... those odds ain't looking too enticing. It won't do much to change the numbers re: an elite QB almost being a necessity. The Eagles very easily could win tomorrow without an elite QB... Now, he is effective in their scheme, but not "elite".
