No bias........ I just don't expect writers to give Rams players MVP or Rookie of the Year accolades..... I think the writers are the one's with bias..... If the players were to pick, Stafford would be at the top of the list IMO.

In the case of Stafford, he could win out and get a Super Bowl this season and he will still be over-looked by some Eastern Conference player.
You takin silly pills or something? Verse won DROY, no bias. Kupp won OPOY no bias.
Brock Bowers got the same treatment as Puka
MVP is a QB award and Staff didnt deserve one until this year

Not to mention Todd Gurley winning OPOY and Donald’s 3 DPOY.

Several exceptions to the bias toward Rams.

I know a regular season MVP would be awesome...but me personally, I'd take Super Bowl MVP.

And if it's both? Chef's fucking kiss.
Why is it a choice?
If he wins the MVP it doesnt minimize his chance to win a SB
MVP helps cement his place in the HOF

I'm just looking at the odds. Lots of MVP quarterbacks don't win the Super Bowl in the same year. Lamar Jackson won two MVPs, didn't win the Super Bowl. Josh Allen won the MVP, didn't win. Aaron Rodgers, multiple MVPs, none in his Super Bowl year. Brady won MVP, didn't win the Super Bowl in that year. Matt Ryan, Cam Newton, Peyton Manning, Steve McNair, Rich Gannon, and that's not even including the running backs that all won MVP and didn't win a Super Bowl.

Patrick Mahomes is the only exception to the rule in this century (2022). The person before him? Kurt Warner in 1999.

Do I want both? Of course, I want both for Stafford; he deserves both. But I'd rather take the Super Bowl MVP than the 2025 regular season MVP, and I'm damn sure Stafford would say the exact same thing.

That's a fallacy. Winning the MVP has no effect on winning the SB
If the Rams are in the SB and before the game its announced that he has won, the odds on the outcome of the game will not change
Im all in on Stafford winning the MVP
He wins it its his name on the trophy but still a win for the team

Anyone else can have the MVP, Ill take another ring....
This is how I see it. Stafford of course would love to win MVP. It would pad his Hall of Fame resume. But I don't think it helps us win the title this year and that's all I care about. Also if he wins the title he's in the Hall. It's a done deal. He's probably in now but that second ring makes it a slam dunk.

Believe me, I'd love for Stafford to be the outlier. I'm just saying, I'd rather win the Super Bowl than see our players get individual awards. I'm sure Stafford agrees.

They arent mutually exclusive
Weird take but to each ones own

Stafford's last interception was the first series in Philly on his 3rd pass of the game. Since then in 79 Rams possessions (not counting 6 kneel down situations), he's 178 of 273 (65.2%) for 2006 yds (7.35 y/a) with 24 TDs (8.79%) 0 Int for a rating of 116.3 and he's been sacked 10 times (3.5% of drops). Dude is ballin for sure!

Stafford lacking All Pro, Pro bowl or MVP honors is likely IMO going to need more to make the Hall.

An MVP could get him in.

A second ring will definitely get him in.

Looking at our remaining schedule and his current level of play and supporting cast....He should be able to lock up the MVP.

Bucs
Cardinals 2x
Lions
Falcons
Panthers
Seattle

It's a shame..... I think in some way Stafford is unfairly paying for all the sins of Detroit, and most writers are like woman and just can't let go of certain things.

I would fall off my chair if they gave Stafford an MVP. But I would be pissed if he manages to get another ring and he doesn't get in the HOF on the first ballot.

Totally agree.

Winning an MVP doesn't not mean you won't win the Super Bowl, so I don't understand why that is even a discussion point. If anything, it means he's playing his best and winning games, and is setting us up for playoff success.

And this is why there is no such thing as the GOAT. What if Stafford and Brady changed places. I wonder how long Brady would have lasted on Detroit. Would he even get a chance. I am beating a dead horse here, but so much of a QBs career depends on his situation and the media attention. It really is to hard to discern a GOAT

That's a great point.

And I have to be honest I barely even heard of Stafford while he played in Detroit and gasped when the Rams traded for him. I thought it was the end for the Rams.... but as it seems it turned out to be one of the best trades.

Brady would have been killed in Detroit because even in Brady's youth he was barely faster than what Stafford is now.... especially after watching old Stafford highlights while he was in Detroit.... it seems like half the time he was running for his life.
