Warner homer!
You are fucking right! Lol....Warner threw for 414 yards in the fucking Superbowl win and brought the sorry ass Cardinals to the brink of almost winning a Superbowl. My guy is a legend. I love both him and Stafford but I'm not putting anyone higher than Warner. About even is all I can take at the moment hahahaha

Love Stafford, but not entirely sure he's better than Warner at his peak. Warner was a fucking beast at his peak. I'll just say they are both awesome. That's just my opinion lol
They have different strengths.

Warner had great focus over many throws with insane accuracy. When he had that look to him the ball was gonna be in the air before the break, and precisely placed where the receiver can RAC.

Stafford is more streaky. But one thing he has that Kurt did not have is the ability to manufacture space for his target. Kurt could look off a bit, but what Stafford does is next level and gives his offense the ability to manufacture drives when absolutely needed. Which in a must-win playoff environment is priceless.

I agree they have different strengths but to me, this convo of putting Stafford above Warner is the pure definition of recency bias. Stafford couldn't do dick with the lowly Lions until he came to us. Warner took not one, but 2 laughing stock franchises to the Superbowl. We sucked ass prior to him. Sorry but I just put way more value on that. With that said, Stafford is fucking awesome and a Hall of Famer as well. We are super blessed to have those 2 wear the Horns. Side note on the MVP talk, Warner earned those honors twice with us. Fuck are we spoiled on these two lol

Both won a title in horns. So it can be argued either way, in favor for either.

Calling it recency may be appropriate too. Or maybe it's just a term you're using to dismiss an opinion you disagree with.

Kurt, after all, was not Kurt as we know him in the playoffs outside of games like vs the Vikes where he ate their asses. There were quite a few games where he struggled.

Stafford's strengths being different make him more potent in those close games.

For myself I will say that Stafford is better. And my reasoning is because what he did over that 4 game playoff run was of the highest rarity in quality. He never had weapons like Kurt had. Not even in horns.

Would be funny to see Stafford vs Warner in a 40 yard dash
Wouldnt need a stop watch to time them, maybe a calendar....

That's why I said earlier I'd take on the same level, but the shit Warner did was insanely crazy as far as being a no name to Hall of Famer. Warner definitely had studs at his disposal with us but when he came back and did what he did with the weak as Retardinals (sorry couldn't help it lol), that's where he truly displayed his greatness even further. I know many and myself included were happy when he finally retired from that team cuz he fucked us up every time from what I remember. To be fair to Stafford, if he wins another chip plus the MVP, then he can definitely lay more of a claim on that title besides he's only a young 37 lol so he can still add to his story...... honestly would take either one come playoff time. Warner had stones in the Superbowl though.....think he literally averaged in the high 300's and still holds the record for most yards. Like I said, we are lucky as hell to call these fellas Rams QBs.

Yeah, but Warner's first year as a starter, that Rams team was loaded. They just hadn't reached their potential and Warner put them over the top. Warner did a great job with the Cards, but he also had struggles in his stay at the Giants. But yeah, Warner gets props for winning with the Rams and frankly, the Cards probably should have won that SB.

Unfortunately they will never give Stafford an MVP..... Writers don't like football players from LA.
Lol.

Yeah... I remember how they ignored Kupp. and Aaron Donald for years. No national attention given to either one of them.

Oh.. and no one writes about Puka Nacua.. and Jared Verse didn't win anything last year.

Or.. work with me here.. you have some pre-existing bias about them not giving some particular award to some particular player you care about? Or maybe you don't actually read national writers?

No bias........ I just don't expect writers to give Rams players MVP or Rookie of the Year accolades..... I think the writers are the one's with bias..... If the players were to pick, Stafford would be at the top of the list IMO.

In the case of Stafford, he could win out and get a Super Bowl this season and he will still be over-looked by some Eastern Conference player.

Most national writers I've seen now have Stafford as the MVP favorite.
So..
And... again.. Verse literally won the award last year.

You may be stuck on the Puka thing, I guess... and people can have different opinions... but a QB with the kind of season Stroud had, there was no doubt he was going to win. Similar performance level at a more valuable position. Thinking this was some kind of snub against LA is just silly paranoid fandom.
