I was wondering about the reasoning behind that cut as well.
The guy had ideal size to rotate in at nose tackle or end.
Plus they had just signed him to a reserve/future contract.
He was a little older at 27 but had a free spot on the practice squad as an international player.
You know how the Rams do it sometimes to give the player a better chance to catch on somewhere else.

Really pulling for Lampkin and Dolac to make the roster. Think it’ll be a mistake to try and hide either on practice squad.

Vs. Lumpkins— There’s still 2 more preseason games, but 2 of The Rams starters Saturday (Dallas) I hope sneak on the practice squad as well.Feel like I don’t want to be the 1 who says anything.

Reeder vs. Dolac ? Does that become a thing ?? My question is about Pooh Jones.(does he curiously find himself on IL?)
-Do The Rams keep 5 ILB ?
—-I’m a Rams Fan first, but Reeder is the better player NOW ? Tough choices.
BTW - The Rams didn’t bring back Reeder & brought JJ43 back instead off ILL(53) for the playoffs.
The Rams also had Rosenboom & Hummel - Speights which made only 3 vs 5 ??

RB - Wow - tough choice. IMO The Rams have to cut 2 & keep only 3. Hoping that they can keep a couple on the practice squad.
Hunter-Williams-Corum
(Rivers,Cody)

DB’s Ahkello,Williams,Lake,KAM & KAM,Durant,Emmanuel,Jaylen

—all the rest cut DB’s

Some hard CUTS - injures will be the KEY for players luck.

TE - Redman will get cut
The 4 TE’s make the team for sure.
s an example-Davis Allen makes the first catch against Dallas & then sits.Maybe he gets pushed & who know if Ferguson gets a couple Snaps with Torres getting CUT ??
I think we do keep 5 LBs and 4 RBs. It’s definitely good to have to make tough cuts, painful but a good place to be.

I think we all know that could just mean Atlanta is stupid.
Agree. I didn't know if you were suggesting that ... should Stafford be out long-term, and should Garoppolo struggle ... the Rams could look to bring-in Cousins who played under McVay in Washington. I was just suggesting that the $ would seem insurmountable.

No, I was asking why would we want Cousins.

Lampkin deserves a start against the Renters. And if he plays anywhere near the level he played against the Cowboys - lock and load him onto the 53 man roster.

Food for thought, but last year the Rams kept after cutdowns:
Qb-2*
Rb-3
Wr-6
Te-3
Ot-4
Og-3
C-2
Dl-6
Edge-5
Lb-5
Cr-5
S-6
St-3
*Qb was 3 when Jg came off suspension, not sure who got cut IIRC it was a d-back

Watching the pre season game all three Dedich, Limmer and Lampkin all played snaps (and played well) at G and C.
I think the interior line depth is basically set.
Having all three IOL guys being able to play all three interior spots provides such great depth across the board I think those three have to be kept.
I suspect LT depth is set.
I think Quessenberry, Levenston, McClendon are battling for that last depth spot.
A couple of solid players will be headed to the PS, if they make it. I think the rest aren't going to make the team.

I'm not sold on McClendon due to some spotty performances lat year, but from reading the tea leaves I think the backup swing tackle spot is McClendon's to lose unless he just craps the bed. Since he did not play against Dallas that is usually a sign he is basically a lock.

I like Detich and would like to see him on the team, but will the Rams keep three interior guys? Limmer, Lampkin, and Deditch can play any three of the interior spots and that provides great flexibility but maybe that redundancy means they only need to keep two of the three. Quesenberry showed well against Dallas, but will they keep three backup tackles over three interior guys? They might keep all three (Humphrey, McClendon, and Quesenberry) if Jackson is a no-go week 1 but if Jackson is ready to go, I expect them to only keep 2 unless they feel AJ's health status is still tenuous.

AJack goes on the PUP creating an open spot. I don't like McClendon at LT. Too slow, lead feet. Best at RT. Leavensten showed at LT. Quesen erry too.
