I'm not sold on McClendon due to some spotty performances lat year, but from reading the tea leaves I think the backup swing tackle spot is McClendon's to lose unless he just craps the bed. Since he did not play against Dallas that is usually a sign he is basically a lock.

I like Detich and would like to see him on the team, but will the Rams keep three interior guys? Limmer, Lampkin, and Deditch can play any three of the interior spots and that provides great flexibility but maybe that redundancy means they only need to keep two of the three. Quesenberry showed well against Dallas, but will they keep three backup tackles over three interior guys? They might keep all three (Humphrey, McClendon, and Quesenberry) if Jackson is a no-go week 1 but if Jackson is ready to go, I expect them to only keep 2 unless they feel AJ's health status is still tenuous.

Arcuri and McMahon are likely cuts, and drags to the PS. This is the deepest team we’ve had in years.

Leveston had one penalty last game and was otherwise proficient.

McClendon and Leveston I could see going to the PS.
McClendon has played, hit and miss, but he has real game experience. Leveston just because he was a draft pick I would think, but, who knows?
Given the depth inside McMahon is likely gone.

Outside of that, no.
If its a win now mode the two veteran T's are an easy choice to keep.

I wouldn't put these guys in the same category. McClendon has gotten significant snaps at RT over several games and has played well. Arcuri has gotten snaps at LT but was rated the worst LT in the league. Night and day.

Leveston and McMahon haven't really gotten live snaps.

My opinion is only McClendon is worthy of a 53 roster spot; the rest can hit the PS.

AJack goes on the PUP creating an open spot. I don't like McClendon at LT. Too slow, lead feet. Best at RT. Leavensten showed at LT. Quesen erry too.

Arcuri fits the 'hanging around for a while' category. This is his 4th season and he just turned 28.

McClendon not so much.
This is his 3rd season but he has already played twice as many games as Arcuri, with five starts to Arcuri's one start. Plus McClendon is four years younger at 24; and was a fifth round pick ... not expected to be an immediate starter. Doubt he sticks as a Practice Squad player ... likely to get picked-up.

McClendon may be the Rams' 2nd-best Right Tackle; and Havenstein may not have 17 starts in him ... Plus ... Old-Not-Dead may finally get his decade-long-wish, and this may be Big-Rob's final season.

Leveston and McMahon don't fit at all as 'hanging around a while'.
Both were rookies last season and very-late round picks.

Leveston was on IR all of last season. May have been kind of a red-shirt-season. Not a young second-year player but could be a valuable reserve if he can play multiple positions. Might be difficult to make the 53. Would be great to have on the PS but may not last.

McMahon might last on the P (although he didn't last year when the Rams grabbed him off the Eagles' PS) but he may be Center-only; and those guys have limited value unless they are good starters.

He cant go on the PUP list now, IIRC to go on the PUP it needs to be before 1st practice or maybe first pre-season game

This is splitting hairs. McClendon would definitely get the nod vs those others. But all of them are RT types whose floors are so low you don't really want them starting for you. You can get all in the grass and nuke that shit seven ways to Sunday if you want to. But why.

For the Rams the way they're gonna look at this is value in the roles. If Jackson can't go who's the best LT. That dude makes the roster. If Hav can't go who's the best RT. He also makes it.

From there my expectation is they go with 10 in that room. Four of those roughly will be OT. Now there was a time the Rams favored OTs and would move them inside as needed, however they have moved to more specialized interior types and have benefitted from that in recent years. So maybe they go five with the OTs if that fifth option can swing interior when needed effectively. But roughly you're talking LT and RT and their immediate backups with this group, and I know that because as you get to that fifth option the OGs are probably better players.

Humphries couldn't stay healthy last year. He's very much a potential mirage at LT, which seems in some ways to be a Rams preference given that they let Boom move on. So he's the modern day Boom, where you ask can we rely on him. Quessenberry didn't look too bad vs Dallas' shitty front but he's still largely an unknown. McClendon isn't really an option on the left, he's more a right side type just doesn't have the feet for the blindside. It's tough man.

But the Rams have a couple preseason games to sort these depth OTs and if I were the one making the call I would take full advantage then reward whoever plays best with roles in this year's team. I don't care about seniority or how many more games you have played. Who fills that role I need best.

They let Landman go after one off year where he was injured.
The year prior the guy was a borderline Pro Bowl player.

They're pretty known to make bad decisions lately for sure.
If a quarterback is good on a talented team.
It doesn't mean he's going to be good on a mediocre team.

Well IMO - he reminds me of Alaric Jackson with better feet.That is based on a small sample size.My hope is he finds his way on the practice squad. Going to be some tough cuts
