With all that going on in the backfield he quickly switches the ball and then unloads the stiff arm. I'm really liking this guy.

ya but we got WR's who actually block.
and idc if he's tackled after a 25 yd run by a faster NFL LB or Safety, it's still a 25 yd run. 3rd downs are gonna be lit for these '22 Rams.
I can't wait to see this kid in horns.
I have nothing against him and wish him the best, but if you have avg speed I want power, like Mike Tolbert. He can pass block and make someone miss in the open field, but we don't have anyone that's falling forward on 3rd and short.

Never liked Sony catching passes out of the backfield, he had a lot of drops and just looked lost at times turning his head. Hoping Kyren does this better. Once Akers was healthy they had seen enough of Sony and he was relegated to a minor role. He was great for us in the regular season but he wasn’t complementary to Akers which I’m hoping Kyren will be.

That's cool. Are you going to go through the other highlight video and judge the rest of his breakaway plays?
I saw all of his highlights. I like his blocking and the plays he's made. I'm not impressed with his speed for his size, that's all.

Agreed. The kid does to many things really well.
In case you didn't watch the Faulk vid.....
Faulk had him as one of the top two backs in the entire draft.
And the interview was a pre draft video. so no favoritism involved

Cue 3:57

Noticed that & he never thought The Rams had the draft capital to take him. Interesting how Marshall sees how the RB position has evolved.
I liked Sony Michael,he was perfect at the time when The Rams traded him.He was a key addition that helped The Rams win it all.In the end you could see his limitations from all phases of his game. Will be interesting how he does somewhere else(Saints?).
The truth is this is the guy without knowing anything about him The Rams needed. Faulk says it best of how a player like this fits into the RB group.Situationally & late in games you need a bigger RB imo(Marshall’s as well)
True but with this play UNC grossly over-pursued and most were blocked reversing field.
I guess my question to the person you were answering is speed. What was Williams 40.He doesn’t look that fast & will get caught from behind on that one play.
Like any player drafted they have to prove themselves. You can evaluate any player. If anyone is talking WR,last year is a perfect example. The biggest thing that has made The Rams draft is the WE vs ME,but the players to keep improving. The system, coaching, training staff ect. Is there for the taking to get better. It’s up to the individual to preform what task is asked, but also continuing to master your craft in the same time.

So guess I'm not alone in liking Isiah Spiller as a good pro back either lol. Hopefully Williams is a great replacement as I don't see him over taking Cam Akers. I have a feeling Cam will come back even better since he will be more than a year removed from injury. College highlights are nice but Cam has shown flashes of greatness which I hope he comes back with.

Thought Williams was a bigger back because of his interview & how they talk about his pass pro(tection?)

He has an amazing north south type of game.Quick feet & balance.Different type of back after watching highlights & seeing he is only 5’9 198.

I would put Cam alongside Hendo with your other comment. Neither will get a free agent contract and we draft Cams eventual replacement next year.

Hendo is pretty much gone for the most part and Cam, well it depends on how he comes back and what he demands as well. However since we got bit in the ass by the Gurley deal, I'm sure Les will be less inclined to bring him back if he asks for too much anyways. I think if Cam balls out, he'll get offered a nice 2-3 year deal by us but we'll see.

I think your totally like a lot of posters discrediting HENDO.

Hmmm, I’m not understanding you saying that I’ve “discredited” Hendo. I said after he leaves via FA. Nothing negative - just he will go like many others have and we gain a comp pick. So apparently you believe the Rams will sign Hendo to an extension. That would be quite the prediction lol.

Or maybe you meant the injury comment. If so, I’m not sure what to say lol. Facts are your friend - embrace them.

No one is discrediting Hendo but he gets nicked up too much and I doubt we'll spend FA dollars to bring him back. Harsh reality of the running back position.

Nothing wrong with that at all.Saying he gets hurt all the time is ok as well, but as a RB in The Rams group is special. He is an electric back & does everything a team wants in a RB.

The thing that PISSES me off is to think The Rams trading HENDO to any NFL will bring The Rams more value as of him being a solid Ram who just helped you win a SuperBowl.
If he doesn’t comeback from IR to play in the SuperBowl The Rams loss.
He played better than Cam Akers & Sony seemed lost in the Playoffs.

—Point being that he gets you a Comp Pick at the end of the season worth more than what you trade him for, plus him & Akers really open up the offense. They never give a defense time to rest. They compliment each other well. Add another RB as well for competition or injury really solidifies the RB group.

So Ram Fans that want to keep talking crap about HENDO as a Ram really PISSES me off.I like a player who competes hard, plays hurt & continues to get better. What’s there not to like.I appreciate Daryl Henderson as a Rams RB.

Saying he is going to get hurt is still discrediting him for making it seem like he is going to make it through as season. I think if Cam Akers is healthy will complement what he does & not asking him to much.

I like Hendo as well but the injury bug keeps biting the poor guy. After last season and losing so many RBs, it wouldn't be smart to trade him. However, knowing how the Rams function, he'll most likely be allowed to walk.

I think this is Cam's year to show what he can do. But I agree if he gets hurt or misses significant time he's probably done in horns. Rams have to get past this injured RB shit. I get that it's a tough position to stay healthy at but our RB room just takes hit after hit after hit and we're at the point where dudes need to be replaced to stop it.

That was the prob with Funk. Approaching that problem with more depth was a good direction and I actually like his game (he was a good find late in the draft in that way) but he's just another option who isn't up when you need him to be.

If Cam can stay healthy and lead the team with a big year everything will look different for him. The reason the rules are different with Hendy is because he's not quite as good all-around as Cam and Kyren. He's more of a passing game option and I doubt the guy will ever carry any load in the NFL. I know McVay sees what he can be and all that, he loves him some pass catchy types, but he needs to decouple Hendy from that bell cow equation and that's why they drafted Kyren.

He could stay like Chapo says above it depends on what kind of contract he wants. I just think it will be revolving draft picks at running back for the foreseeable future
