I can't wait to see this kid in horns. Can anyone imagine what will be said about Les Fuck-them-picks Snead if Bruss, Durant and Williams contribute in 2022?

Yep, he will be our #2 in short order after watching that
I think Hendo offers great playmaking ability especially when it comes to catching the ball. But I don't think he's a better pass catcher than K Will who used to be a receiver in HS and his early college days. Plus the durability factor is huge. I think Williams starts the year as our #3 but would not be surprised by mid season to see him getting 8-10 touches a game in the backup role. His game is that balanced overall, and people can talk about measurables and athleticism all they want (I think he's more than athletic enough for the NFL) but the most important traits a RB can have is vision, and ability to make people miss. K Williams ranked 4th in FBS in forced missed tackles since 2020 and he has great vision. The more I read about this kid the more I'm blown away how he was available in round 5. Just shows how the RB position is being valued now in the NFL and why we decided to trade up for him.

Thanks man… been wondering. Guess we are officially moved on from him now with the Williams pickup.
Yeah it's a shame too he was a life saver on offense for us and I like what he brings to the team.

From my draft notes

Round 5 trade up from 175 to 164

RB Kyren Williams: It's obvious that the Rams could not afford to bring Sony Michel back. IMO Williams is their answer to fill that vacancy in their roster. Williams is smaller and timed slower than Michel. But I've heard that analytics timed his play faster than his combine run which happens more than most think, and it places him sub 4.6. Kyren is more agile than Sony and unlike Michel, Kyren isn't a power runner, he's breaks tackles by being elusive. At 5'9" and 194 lbs he's short not small. Where he is going to fill in for Michel is as a 3rd down RB. Like Michel, Williams has shown he understands pass protection and is a willing blocker. On film, Williams is a better receiver out of the backfield or slot and is where his quickness serves him well. If there is a concern about Kyren is he does have a reputation for laxed ball security, something the Rams need to stress with him. Overall, it was clear the Rams valued his pass protection and receiving abilities above that as a pure RB as they have Akers and Henderson in front of him for that role. In that context the Rams looked to have done well and looked to have gotten value for the trade up.

They say he isn't fast.
Yet I've seen him run away from defenders.
They say he's not a power runner.
Yet he rarely ends a run falling backwards. In fact he excels in short yardage situations.
I think these draft evaluators...be it Kiper or McShay or Brugler or whomever most fans read......make up shit just "to balance the books".
Funny thing is I read one evaluator who had him ranked #1 among RBs

I'm not going by media evaluators. I'm going by the majority of what I've seen on the film I have had access to. Fast is a relative term. Guys who look fast in college aren't in the NFL because it's so much faster. In college depending upon the team and conference he could look faster than he might be. Conversely the reverse could be true as many players play faster than they time.

I'm basing my opinions from what I've seen and what I'm told his game analytics have shown. We will see for ourselves just how fast he is relative to the NFL. As I said in my evaluation that Williams in the game analytics times sub 4.6 i.e. faster than he timed. The precise timing was not given to me just that it was sub 4.6. So I'm in agreement with you because he looks to play faster than his timed speed.

From what I've seen on film, it was a good pick and I'll bet he will contribute right away. As far as speed, he looks like he has it. I don't care what the stopwatch says. Compare a guy who runs a 4.4 forty to a guy who runs a 4.6 forty and you'll have someone who runs 20 yards a tenth of a second faster. You can't *see* that. If you have a smart phone, try the stopwatch. 1/10th is a fucking blink.

Agreed. Also, look at the stiff arm before he literally outruns the entire North Carolina defense..."checks all the boxes".

Great run but it was in slow motion. He out ran an equally slow linebacker - the rest were blocked or took bad angles.
ya but we got WR's who actually block.
and idc if he's tackled after a 25 yd run by a faster NFL LB or Safety, it's still a 25 yd run. 3rd downs are gonna be lit for these '22 Rams.
