A quarterback fumbling is no where near the same as a running back... QB's fumble at like a 200% higher rate than RB's because they are holding the ball with one hand getting ready to pass it.

It's a completely different situation.
Not choosing a side here, but in regards to Stafford's fumble against Philly that was not the case at all. He simply mishandled the ball as I recall.

Defender hit him and it came out - it was a pretty light hit.

But that actually supports what I'm saying - QB's are carrying the ball in a lot loser position because they are preparing to throw it.

Anyone can do this -

Take a football and hold it like you are running with it...

Now take a football and hold it like you are going to throw it...

Difference is easy to discern.

I like Judkins better out of the 2 backs. More durable, less injury prone.
Both of those points are true, but he doesn't have the one play touchdown explosiveness that Henderson offers. Judkins is much closer to Kyren then Henderson is. Judkins is more explosive then Kyren however.

Proven Performance Escalator

(a)
Subject to the phase-in rules and restrictions set forth in Subsection 4(c) below, the Proven Performance Escalator is mandatory for Rookies drafted in the second through seventh rounds. Rookies drafted in the first round and Undrafted Rookies are not eligible to earn the Proven Performance Escalator.
(b)
The Proven Performance Escalator is a three-level (“Level One”, “Level Two”, and “Level Three”) non-negotiable amount by which an eligible player’s year-four Paragraph 5 Salary may escalate provided the player achieves the applicable qualifier set forth in Subsection (d) below. An eligible player who would otherwise qualify for more than one of the Level One, Level Two, and Level Three escalators shall receive only the highest such escalator. No player may receive more than one escalator. The Proven Performance Escalator shall be deemed a part of every Rookie Contract of a player selected in the second through seventh rounds by virtue of this Agreement and may not be separately attached to such Rookie Contract.

Judkins has ehough speed to break long runs and I'd rather roll the dice with him than Henderson based on the injury issues Henderson has. Judkins smokes Kyren in the speed category. With that said, Henderson definitely has the best speed out of all of them. I wouldn't necessarily poo poo on the Rams if they went Henderson but even Ohio St was starting Judkins over Henderson eventually.

Could this be why Derion Kendrick has a large 2025 salary of $3.3M?

Guessing it is. Lake also has a similar salary. He and Kendrick were 6th round picks in 2022.

By comparison, Whittington & Limmer were 6th rounders last year; and their 4th year salaries are just $1.2M.

I mentioned this a few pages back when the question about his 5 million cap number started.

It's been around for a while.

Big bold marker next to him and KW saying estimate. Our cap number will change when the escalator is calculated.

SEE!!! THIS is why we keep you around, and pay you the Big Bucks.

People are always asking ... "Why is OldSchool here? Can't we do something about him?"

But @CGI_Ram and @RamFan503 respond ... "No, No ... the man serves a purpose and has a valuable role"

Not nearly as explosive though and that’s what we need in my opinion.
Not as explosive at Ohio State compared to Henderson, but at Ole Miss, Judkins was as explosive as any back in the nation as a true freshman and was even better as a sophomore.

You gamble on that in the third round, and I'd be satisfied.

There are so many good backs in this draft. So many good TEs. So many DL. Makes me think that if the guy they covet early isn't there they will be prone to moving down and adding another pick.

Of course I prefer the difference maker always. But damn man, an extra third rounder in this draft feels like it would be worth it.

Depending on how the draft breaks and who the Rams like, that could be a possibility. We have been knocking the draft out of the park lately so I would love to add another pick or picks if possible.

You hate difference makers! Ask my guy Jahmyr Gibbs a couple years back! ~ Jeanty
