So what do people think about him going forward? He's a free agent after next year and with the James Conner signing for 2/$19 million to me sounds like what we could pay for KW. I get the fumbles are an issue to a lot but what do you guys think about him going forward?

I like KW. But what the rams really need is a gibbs style of back. Someone quick and has great straight line speed. While I love Corum he's a very similar style of runner to KW which is why I kind of scratched my head when the rams picked him. But nonetheless I think if KW can stay healthy and knock off the fumbles the rams should keep him around if it's a fair market price. But if he wants a big payday I'd pass on him because he's not a top 3 back.

He's going to need to show he can cut down on the fumbles. So the rest of the sched he has to be secure with the ball.

And if he does fumble they need to play the RB2 who is waiting for his opportunity. I'd RBBC the two of them the rest of the way and each game ride the hot hand.

As good as he has been, I think Corum is a very similar player, and will replace him after his contract is up. You don't give a huge contract to a RB anymore unless he is very special. Run him until the wheels fall off. It's cold, but it's business.

As much as I like Kw especially since he went to highschool 2 min away from my neighborhood I think the writing was on the wall when the drafted corum same player corum might be a little quicker and faster… I think next year will be his last year as a ram

I wouldn't mind picking the next Marshall Faulk, if he's in the draft. Watching highlights of Marshall as a receiver and RB makes me unsatisfied with KW and Corum. Watching Faulk find another gear running for a long TD, is beautiful to watch. I'd rather have this type of cheat code on the field than even a good TE (which @Merlin was pining for last draft...lol)

Honestly I felt a bit burned by the Gurley contract.

I love KW's heart and think he's a solid player who's underappreciated. Having said that though, I say spend the big $ on a position other than RB.

I think he's the type of player you replace instead of paying. Has gotten nicked up a lot during his time here. Fumbles issues this year. And doesn't have that game-breaking extra gear. Good HB, but he's not an elite player at his position. Draft a replacement to pair with Corum (who will hopefully pan out).

since we can easily draft a gibbs and faulk, why stop there...draft a mahomes, Donald, revis, calvin johnson while we're at it. some inner-circle HOF as well. why haven't the rams thought of doing this?

Everyone is quick to give up on these players! Yes Kyren struggles sometimes, and has a fumble problem( Maybe?). Hes not a King Henry, or Saquon, Faulk, or insert huge HOF player here. Id rather keep a servicable RB like Kyren. Kyren's production is down by half compared to last year, and Alot of that is our O'line Issues! This is where our problems are. Hell Walter Payton fumbled 11 times in 1 year, and 10 the year before. LaDainan 6 in one year. As long as Kyren recovers and takes care of it, he will be fine.

food for thought:
Kyren Ranks: All NFL(NFC)
Yards: 6th(5th)
TD: 8th(5th)
Carries: 4th(3rd)
Yds/G: 8th(5th)
First Downs:2nd(1st)

Hes 34th in avg carry, but I honestly think it because of our o'line and how it sucks.

Hes def been top 5 RB in the league both years so far as starter, Def a keeper id say. 2-3yrs @ 8-10 mil/yr will prob be the range he looks for based on what the avg is. Look around the league we prob wont get a henry or Barkley anytime soon. We need a big Blocking back to back KW. Most of his struggles is Frustration/Fatigue I think. Give Corum 2nd quarter time to let kyren breathe. except maybe inside 2 mins if we are on offense and need to score.

Hes one of the better backs out there.

I tend to agree with you here. Keep drafting running backs every couple of years and keep them on rookie deals until you find a truly special player.

Increase Corums carries as Kyren’s contract wanes, and then decide if we need to draft a RB in 2026 draft, as we have too many needs this year to use a high draft pick this year on a RB.

Let KW play out next year and continue building the OL. We need to spend money on more positions of need.

Ashton Jeanty will be a top 5 pick, we ain't gettin' that RB baller.
Definitely a first round back. But all those skill position types at RB, WR, CB won't fully slot until the workouts are official. So I don't disagree with you but to be a top 5 pick he'll need to smoke that workout.

Re-sign @ a fair price, which to me is outside of top 10 closer to 15 to 20 in RB pay. He finds the endzone at a high rate.
