it's the way they lost, that's the burn. stuff we have been talking about for years now. redzone offense, oline, cb and play calling. very frustrating and if we lose to the colts the writing is on the wall in my opinion. Go Rams.

I take "mini" breaks after pretty much every loss to be honest. Usually just a day or so, but sometimes longer after a brutal loss like this, so I understand...

However.... I don't usually take a break from this place, just the mainstream sports media. THIS place allows me to vent and also heal with like minded (mostly) fans that are going through the same shit. It's kinda therapeutic actually. We're here for ya brother!!

I feel like McVay called a great game and players didn't make the plays that should have been made. /shrug
This is why we lost as far as offense, but defense I think after the quick score in the second half the D loosened up. Still with that the Rams had it at the end and failed to execute for the last of many times in the game.

I also take breaks after a loss that really bothers me. For me, this one gives me hope for the season even though the outcome was disappointing. I mean, if this is the floor it is way higher floor than the last 2 years. They had them in their house while making countless mistakes. This is a mentally tough team that believes in itself. You can bet they are back at work getting better and you will be feeling better about your team real soon.

The Rams received no love after that loss. It looked like it was in the bag multiple times. That's ok though.

Chances are you'll see them again. You already know the Rams can hang with them and some. It's a game of emotion. The dog running up the hill is hungrier than the dog on top of the hill. The team that lost in the regular season has an edge in the playoffs.

It's hard to see it now but the Eagles did you a favor. They're not going back to the Super Bowl. It will be a hungry team like the Rams or Lions that knock them off.

Grand scheme of things this was the best thing to happen to em.

Chip on shoulder now....

Hopefully the fans show out on Sunday and give them an edge.
I agree a wake up call early in the season can be a good thing. It’s all about who’s hot at the end. The wake up call is that OC, CB, OL depth is weak. Rams have time but need to do something about those positions or 7th playoff seed is their ceiling.

I'm not making any big pronouncements or judgements on the Rams and McVay, overall... I just don't like the fact that the Rams couldn't make winning plays and the Eagles did.
I'm not taking in nearly as much Rams/football stuff this week because I'm so irritated. There's nothing to learn.. the Rams outperformed the Eagles.. except when it really counted.

Really???

We just went toe to toe with probably the best team in the NFC, at their place and really had 99 ways to win it. Not sure how you are seeing the 7th playoff seed....but ok.....

Heck we won the SB as the 4th seed anyway.....

We had this game. It was ours with a high percentage FG to win the game and our kicker was blocked from 41yards. We can all argue about McVay's play calling, but none of that would have mattered if we made that kick.

The other true statement is that no lead is safe with McVay as HC. He doesn't like to pile on the other team when we are up two scores or more. It doesn't matter if the other team is good or bad, he changes the play calling that often results in 3 and outs or FGs. Then the other teams race up in scoring to cause us all heartburn.
This was the worst Rams' loss in the regular season that I can remember. I am not watching any sports show this week at least, maybe more. I may not post here much...we'll see.

Yeah, same. No sports shows.

McVay respects the game too much some times.

He’s the polar opposite of Asshole Face or Dan Campbell.

Don't blame McVay, normally Stafford makes the throws. Would I have kept the run going? hinesight says yes. Stafford was off, the O-line needs help. The Rams basically lost to the world champs in their stadium by one point. The biggest mistake by McVay was to run a running play behind Limmer on that busted play. That I will never understand. Maybe he thought the Eagles would not expect that. If the Rams had made that last FG the league would be saying the Rams are the best team in the NFL. I still think they are.

We ran it up on teams through 2021. I'm sure we remember the early days, and in 2021 we took the Giants, Texans and Jaguars to the woodshed. We also dominated the Bucs in the regular season. He's made a habit of running it up on Arizona.

You have to remember that in 2023, we blew up the team. Casuald and pundits projected us to be in last place, have a top 5 pick.

We came out in week one and took it to Seattle. But what you are talking about, for me, starts with those games later in 2023. And I think in 2023/2024, McVay got conservative later in games because we had to project our offensive line and defense (by not risking turnovers for example).

So I kind of see what you mean, but IMO it started then. I don't think we will see that as much this year
Oh how I long for the days of 51-17.

Oh how I long for the days of 51-17.

But we didn’t, though.

If you go back and watch those games, it was backups fighting to score, not McVay pressing to drop a 50 burger on purpose. He’s never pressed when up 3 scores…ever. He’s always gone conservative and this isn’t the first game that’s gotten away from him doing that.

We just have to make peace that he’s never gonna be that guy who presses for 60 minutes and will score as much as he can.

All of our 50 point games have been happy accidents except for the 54-51 game against the Chiefs.

I think one of the biggest reasons don't watch sports shows is they focus on how amazing Hurtz and company are and how the dominated the second half. If it was the Rams all the talk would be on Philly and how poorly they played. It wouldn't be about the RAms.
Even when they won SB, it was how close Cincy was and the PI on Kupp. How they didn't call those plays all game and then they did. Which actually makes our point as to how they stayed so close.

Look i understand not wanting to run on some teams to be respectful, but they see the Rams as a joke. Maybe Campbell was right and we need to woodshed these bitches. Maybe bite a few kneecaps along the way too.

Put an opponent in a beat down phase the entire game,Especially after that loss. Who cares if its 52-7. DET ,Phi, GB, wont give a shit about your feelings.

Its the NFL and defenses are PAID to do their jobs.
No mercy, ever.
Who cares about "feelings" ??

I agree 1,000% if there was such a thing, who could blame you? These are tone setting defeats that demoralize the fan base and the team. How do you let these go? Im sorry but it doesn’t feel like any other loss. Part of me felt less gut wrenching pain after the most recent Super Bowl loss. its just sports.. but fuck was i gut shot. I would say im curious how they respond but part of me at least today is fuck this shit! Is it worth it???
