This is why we lost as far as offense, but defense I think after the quick score in the second half the D loosened up. Still with that the Rams had it at the end and failed to execute for the last of many times in the game.I feel like McVay called a great game and players didn't make the plays that should have been made. /shrug
I agree a wake up call early in the season can be a good thing. It’s all about who’s hot at the end. The wake up call is that OC, CB, OL depth is weak. Rams have time but need to do something about those positions or 7th playoff seed is their ceiling.Grand scheme of things this was the best thing to happen to em.
Chip on shoulder now....
Hopefully the fans show out on Sunday and give them an edge.
Really???Rams have time but need to do something about those positions or 7th playoff seed is their ceiling.
We had this game. It was ours with a high percentage FG to win the game and our kicker was blocked from 41yards. We can all argue about McVay's play calling, but none of that would have mattered if we made that kick.
The other true statement is that no lead is safe with McVay as HC. He doesn't like to pile on the other team when we are up two scores or more. It doesn't matter if the other team is good or bad, he changes the play calling that often results in 3 and outs or FGs. Then the other teams race up in scoring to cause us all heartburn.
This was the worst Rams' loss in the regular season that I can remember. I am not watching any sports show this week at least, maybe more. I may not post here much...we'll see.
Oh how I long for the days of 51-17.We ran it up on teams through 2021. I'm sure we remember the early days, and in 2021 we took the Giants, Texans and Jaguars to the woodshed. We also dominated the Bucs in the regular season. He's made a habit of running it up on Arizona.
You have to remember that in 2023, we blew up the team. Casuald and pundits projected us to be in last place, have a top 5 pick.
We came out in week one and took it to Seattle. But what you are talking about, for me, starts with those games later in 2023. And I think in 2023/2024, McVay got conservative later in games because we had to project our offensive line and defense (by not risking turnovers for example).
So I kind of see what you mean, but IMO it started then. I don't think we will see that as much this year
Oh how I long for the days of 51-17.
