I still get a chuckle when I look at this.

Of course he's gonna lean into his manufactured "mistreatment" storyline again. I mean, because besides his hot wife... what else is really interesting about him.

I was surprised to see in the article that Goff has now only played 4 fewer games with the lions than he played for the Rams. I didn't think about him being there that long already. But like I said, there's not very much that interests me about him.

I'd expect him at his age now to realize that this storyline makes him look like a bitch/crybaby. So he still gives me the impression that his decision making hasn't grown above the questionable level. Not a vibe I want coming from my QB. I would tell him what I told all 3 of my sons when they acted with bitchassness... "Go take a full dose of extra strength Midol and get a tampon from your mom!".
That's why I asked, earlier in this thread, if he still sucks his thumb.

I support Goff still.
No ill feeling there at all for me. I like his game and enjoy watching him play.
I am starting to enjoy watching Campbell lose those bigs games because of his arrogance.
That playoff game vs SF, if he just kicks FGs they win that game.
There is a difference between a week 9 game vs a 2-6 Bears team and a playoff game. A road playoff game at that.
He really should have put his ego in check and kicked the FGs.....what a tool.
Campbell had to hold up his reputation as a meathead. Where better to do it than on National TV during the playoffs?

I still think after Goff got paid, got the model and the mansion, something changed for him. That usually means work ethic or focus.
Did he not even say this himself? that he had a lot to work on & had gotten complacent, or something of the like?

I admit to root for the Lions when the Rams interest isn’t at stake.

Goff is not an NFL douchebag. Detroit is blue collar. They’ve got a losing history. What’s not to root for?

So, you don't have a problem with their fans cheering with bloodlust when their team was cheap shotting the RAMS during the playoff game and Stafford was flat on his back with his eyes rolling back in his head after one of the kneecap biters stepped on him?

It is stupid to make the same call to go for it based on yardage alone, but then in your after game interviews you can spew the words, "Its what we always do." to try to deflect your stupidity. Like it was out of my hands. It is what the players expect. I need to show I have total confidence in the guys. Stupid.
When I play blackjack, I have rules I never break based on my total and what the dealer's showing, but that is just a numbers game that I have no control over other than deciding what my odds of success are.

Football also can be broken down to what the odds are, but to rely on that and make your choices based on rules set up by what the odds are will always burn you when you have the most chips on the table.
Well said.

I always have said the model was why his play slipped. Remember how Matt Kemp's game slipped when he started dating Rihanna?

From the article:
"Detroit's veteran signal-caller indicated he felt unwanted and betrayed, but
what ultimately disappointed Goff the most was not receiving any type of notice or phone call that the organization was thinking about moving on."

Yeah, cuz' it's TOTALLY customary to get a call from your team saying, "Hey, you know....we are thinking, just thinking mind you...about moving on without you. I'll call you back if we are serious about it.

So how's the family? Coming to the team barbeque tomorrow?" :woozy2:

I remember taking the Cardinals on almost as my second team when Kurt was on his run in '08-'09. I wanted him to get a ring so bad.

Not so much with Goff.

That’s great. He’s just pissed because he bought the mansion, had the hot girlfriend and lived in LA, then the dream came crashing down around him. I bet he hated the idea of moving to Detroit.

I’d say he was the immature one in all of that. It seems he felt he was untouchable, even if he wasn’t playing well. He totally missed the part about the NFL standing for- Not For Long. If anything, after 2019 and 2020, he should have been very concerned about being traded. Not thinking it was possible, is a total lack of awareness.

And besides, it seems that the whole Stafford deal came together very quickly. It’s not like they had a month to tell Goff that something was in the works.
