I still get a chuckle when I look at this.

Honestly, that’s fair and I see where you’re coming from. I do have a soft spot for Goff and the Lions because of history. I would certainly never root for them against the Rams. But it moreso seems like people here are just constantly shitting on Goff/Campbell. I can still appreciate a good coach even if he’s the opposition.
Yeah, the individual stuff is objective. Goff, Campbell etc. I feel like fans here have the right to root for their individual success, as well as criticize them to death.

I see no way in which the Lions as a team is objective, however. One can dislike our rivals more than other rivals…but they’re still rivals.

That’s my take as a fan, not a moderator btw. As a fan I will continue to call out Lions softies here. It’s weird to me.

Ehh - I don't hate them as much as other teams in the NFC - Eagles, Whiners, Cowgirls, Seahawks, Saints (because of their whiny fans),

I don't hate Goff or the Lions. I couldn't care less about Goff or the Lions.

But I fucking despise Captain Caveman.
I have nothing against Goff or the people of Detroit and their Lions, in fact, I tip my cap to people that actually call Detroit home. As to Dan Campbell, well, he has two new coordinators this year. I actually believe the DC is an upgrade because I am and have never been a believer in Aaron Glenn as I expect him to be another epic fail for the NY Jets.

As to John Morton, well, he won't be as good as Ben Johnson and I have a feeling the Lions will struggle to some degree under someone, who will not be worth his salt. Also Campbell tends to be overly aggressive and that was obvious against the 49ers two years ago. As to the Commodes going into Detroit and whipping their ass, have to admit, I enjoyed it and the look on Campbell's face was priceless.

"We'll see them in two weeks."

Dan "Captain Caveman" Campbell on facing the Minnesota Vikings on Week 18 and playing them in the playoffs...knowing that the Rams were facing them.

Fuck that guy up the ass without lube. I hate him more than I've ever hated a coach since Bellicheat. Arrogant, meatheaded, fucksticking, douchebagging, ankle-biting, dirty baby door.

I hate how he’s Mr. Fired Up on the lions but in LA it was rare to see anything out of him on a bad or good play.

I get we only see so much just watching the game but you never really got that vibe from when he was here. Baker was here for how many games and acted like he played the whole season.

You bet Campbell hangs that on him that we wronged him.

If the Rams are out of the playoffs, I'll normally cheer for teams that have never won a super bowl. That includes the lions and browns. I remember in the early 90's wondering if I was going to die before I saw the Rams win a super bowl.

As much as I like to think I don’t wish Goff or that meathead coach ill will, I gotta admit. I take a wee bit of pleasure from them losing big games. Just a wee bit.

As far as teams that have never won a Lombardi, if the RAMS are out of the running, I'd like the Bills, Browns, Jaguars, Panthers (in that order) to get a chip.
The Lions would have been in that pecking order a couple years ago but subsequent events have them on my shit list along with the Minute Scrotum BiQueens and the Falcons (I'm a Georgia native and they were a bitter rival all those years they were in the NFC West).
I actually wouldn't mind the Cardinals winning for a couple of reasons.
One, I pity them.
Two, and more importantly, their organization did the RAMS a solid in preparation for the Wild Card game against the BiQueens.

I do too but the Lions are off that list for me. Coach Cavemsn and his kneecapper S are two I won’t root for.

I used to root for the Lions before that, but their fans defended Kerby Joseph’s low hits a bit too earnestly for my liking.

The knee-capping piece of shit plays safety.

I don't know where Mr. Vierra is with his claim both teams were gifted touchdowns. Reading this, it sounds like he might be a panty-liner ball washer. Frisco SUX!!

I support Goff still.
No ill feeling there at all for me. I like his game and enjoy watching him play.
I am starting to enjoy watching Campbell lose those bigs games because of his arrogance.
That playoff game vs SF, if he just kicks FGs they win that game.
There is a difference between a week 9 game vs a 2-6 Bears team and a playoff game. A road playoff game at that.
He really should have put his ego in check and kicked the FGs.....what a tool.

Agree on Campbell being a tool, but Goff still sucks under the slightest pressure.

It is stupid to make the same call to go for it based on yardage alone, but then in your after game interviews you can spew the words, "Its what we always do." to try to deflect your stupidity. Like it was out of my hands. It is what the players expect. I need to show I have total confidence in the guys. Stupid.
When I play blackjack, I have rules I never break based on my total and what the dealer's showing, but that is just a numbers game that I have no control over other than deciding what my odds of success are.

Football also can be broken down to what the odds are, but to rely on that and make your choices based on rules set up by what the odds are will always burn you when you have the most chips on the table.

Of course he's gonna lean into his manufactured "mistreatment" storyline again. I mean, because besides his hot wife... what else is really interesting about him.

I was surprised to see in the article that Goff has now only played 4 fewer games with the lions than he played for the Rams. I didn't think about him being there that long already. But like I said, there's not very much that interests me about him.

I'd expect him at his age now to realize that this storyline makes him look like a bitch/crybaby. So he still gives me the impression that his decision making hasn't grown above the questionable level. Not a vibe I want coming from my QB. I would tell him what I told all 3 of my sons when they acted with bitchassness... "Go take a full dose of extra strength Midol and get a tampon from your mom!".
