When he played the 6'th Olineman in that week 18 game against S.F., he only had 10 snaps and wasn't all that effective.
So true!

JN's special talent is pass blocking on those quick 43 DE's and 34 D OLB'ers as the starting in line LT....Noteboom is not going to help with the TE Higbee injury problem. Bobby Evans is far worse than Noteboom.

McVay/Carberry would be better to utilize OL'er Coleman Shelton as the 6th OL'er or finally try out a two-back combination plays.

CS is quick, agile & mobile to be on target with his run blocking which is his special talent! I might even put him in as FULLBACK.

The problem with plugging in a non skill position or out of position skill player into the TE position is for the skill player the route tree is different along with the blocking assignments.
For the non skill player (used loosely) it is a tell if a player with no receiving skills is in.
That is why a TE with a complete game is so dangerous.

Speculation was the knee so i'm not encouraged. Still, probably the only good thing(IMO) about the 2 week build up for the big game is that both teams get a chance to heal up a bit.

Make sure he works on catching the ball or it doesn't matter how much he weighs.

I don't mean to be hard on him - love Benny Skow, especially as a seventh round pick. But wow that game may have been less stressful if he'd caught that pass in the end zone that hit him right in the hands.
Ben needs to learn that Matthew is an equal opportunity distributor.

I wonder if Sony has played any H back in the past? Could be a possible help with the tight end problem.

According to ESPN, the Rams have this guy on the roster. He's a 39 year old rookie TE from Georgia Tech, who is 6'5" 265lbs. He's also looks eerily similar to the Rams' other Darius Williams. :laugh4:

1% or fewer players in the league catch that ball.

That was a LONG way from right in the hands.

I would bet the farm that Skow thinks he should have caught it.
He wouldn’t be worth his salt if he didn’t think that.

Still doesn’t make it hitting him in the hands. He made a good attempt just to get a finger on it. That old bullshit about catching everything you touch is nonsense.

It wasn't an easy catch - but its a catch that NFL Wide Receivers make more often than they don't. He has to control his body. Turn all the way around and fall onto your back if you need to. It was there.

I have to imagine that Skow also didn't really think the ball was going to come his way on that play and was caught off guard when Stafford actually threw it
