I hope the Rams are at least testing this out in practice. Avila played a bit of RT in college so maybe it is a option. But who knows. He played a ton of C in college - some scouts considering it his natural position - and apparently looked really bad there, necessitating the switch to Jonah Jackson at C and putting Avila back at LG.If Rob is out longer, can Avila play RT? I feel like the combo of A. Jackson-J. Jackson-Limmer-Dotson-Avila might be better than A. Jackson-Avila-J. Jackson-Dotson-Noteboom.
Nah, I was posting in the GDT, so I was around, and they were so bad it reminded me of this post so I circled back to it. The post was not intended to be a gloat. Believe me, the Rams' o-line looking like amateurs it is not something I want to gloat about.you ran to this forum mid-game to gloat about the rams playing poorly? yikes.
Maybe so and not a bad suggestion. But I'd rather they get Avila back into good form. Feels like the center move screwed with his head a bit so I'd be worried about RT due to him flipping his feet.If Rob is out longer, can Avila play RT? I feel like the combo of A. Jackson-J. That gets what should be our best 5 on the field… But it’s more shuffling and necessitates another shuffle when Havenstein comes back.If Rob is out longer, can Avila play RT? I don't know, an interesting thought though. At this point I'd rather have McClendon than Noteboom and that's not saying much.If Rob is out longer, can Avila play RT? I feel like the combo of A. Jackson-J. Jackson-Limmer-Dotson-Avila might be better than A. Jackson-Avila-J. Jackson-Dotson-Noteboom.
This past FA window needs to be analyzed to fix where they went wrong. Only one of the signings was a good fit. The rest are not what the Rams needed. Even Curl. We didn't need an overpriced box safety.Don’t understand the signing of J. Jackson. This was WHY I’VE ASKED the question.
You replace one of your BEST DRAFT PICKS & Players in 2023 ?
What’s the LOGIC ? Play Steve Avila at Center ?
Just don’t understand why you’d F- A GOOD thing up.
Not sure exactly what leg lifts are.... but I've done Leg Extensions since HS. Within the last 10 years stories have come out that have said that those are actually bad for the knees because of the stress on the joints, but I've never ever had bad knees. And I still do them on leg day, pretty heavy weight, not the whole stack though, but I don't go all the way under anymore keeping the strain off the knees that way. Played football in HS; pickup basketball until my late 30's and nothing but a couple of sprained ankles... only from stepping on someone's foot. But saying all of that, I never had 300 pound athletes fall on me or bend me awkwardly so I'm pretty sure that's the difference with many of the NFL injuries - heavy collisions from grown man athletes - no matter how strong or in shape these guys are. The non contact injuries they get... unexplainable. Maybe from prior stress on the area?Leg lifts strengthen the ligaments and muscles around the ankle and knees. Don't get me wrong I know injuries happen to the best conditioned players but the Rams have an injury issue with their big men. And the coaching staff needs to do something about it. If it was just this season I wouldn't be making this take.
So we can just agree to disagree.

Finally, some good news!Noteboom has another ankle injury and may not play
Shouldn't we wait until the autopsy is needed, if it's needed at all? This past FA window needs to be analyzed to fix where they went wrong. Only one of the signings was a good fit. The rest are not what the Rams needed. Even Curl. We didn't need an overpriced box safety.
