Marc Bulger started a porn career after football. His stage name is simply Bulger.

That’s also not true.

When Baker Mayfield starts on Monday, he will be the 4th Rams starting QB this year. That has only happened once before: 2002 (Warner, Bulger, Martin, Covington).

That is true.

What's the difference between an egg and bubbaramfan? An egg gets laid. This is sadly true.

If the Lions improve their defense next year they can be very good. They are competitive now. Goff is playing well in an offense that plays to his strengths. I'm happy for him. I told friends before the season that the Lions could win 9 games this year and they can if the sweep the rest of their games. I think 8-9 is at least realistic for them.

Improve that secondary and get another premium pass rusher and that team can be dangerous. The Lions are no longer a doormat. Holmes is doing well in his team building.

Happy that Goff is having a resurgent year. Thought he might figure it out if given the time. We'll see if he can keep it up.

I’m curious how Goff does this weekend.
He’s been great at home.

I thought the same. And I thought if you put a good OL in front of him and supported him with a running game, he'd be good again. Detroit has a stout OL in front of him and a good running game, and some rapidly improving WRs, and lo and behold, Goff is playing his best football since 2018. Hope he keeps it up, except when he plays us.

He has looked very good from what I have seen (4 or so games) this year.
Poised, generally not forcing things and has made some very good throws. He fairly well dominated Minnesota last week.
On the road is where he has had issues.

Wrong Scheme & Wrong Coach for Jared. In Detroit, he doesn't have Campbell in his ear until the last 15 seconds, yet McVay expected him to get out of a play if he thought it was wrong. Sean didn't structure the offense to fit Goff, Campbell has. It's not a matter of the light coming on. It's a matter of having a coach that believes in you and lets you play. Stafford / Mayfield vs Goff is a perfect example of scheme and coach fit and what happens when it isn't a fit.

In LA Mayfield has a coach that believes in him and the scheme plays to his strengths. There is no way I see McVay and Snead letting Baker get out of the house next year. IMO Baker won't want to leave so it's just a matter of making it work for both sides. It's also the reason that I see Mayfield as the Ram's starter no later than 2025. McVay inherited Goff, he chose Stafford and now IMO he's choosing Mayfield.

As far as I'm concerned if Baker being here keeps McVay energized it means he will stay for several more years. That is the most important part because it keeps that Super Bowl window open for a long time. Baker has improved way beyond Kyler and if Mayfield has left his demons behind him in Cleveland then the Rams will have a pretty good QB after Stafford. It's a good thing Baker didn't get picked up by AZ. My neighbors are pissed about that. Baker is what they expected Kyler to develop into.

.

in all seriousness i said at the time of the trade that goff getting away from mcvay's enormous shadow was the best thing to ever happen to him. if he had stayed with mcvay he would not have received any credit for anything. now he's his own man the rest of the league can see him for what he is, a good qb.

the trade worked out for everyone. mcvay was happy because stafford was the exact type of qb he wanted. the rams are happy as they won the superbowl. the lions are happy because they finally seemed to have turned the corner. goff is happy because he can take control of his career.
