I know this seems to be a good draft for offensive linemen. Especially at tackle. But I'd prefer bringing back the same line we had the second half last season. Dotson is staying. Jackson is tendered. So I think there's a decent chance he'll be back. That leaves Shelton. I assume he'll be testing the market starting Monday. I wouldn't rate Shelton as one of the top centers but he's more than serviceable. Especially for the continuity. The proverbial devil you know.

The Shelton signing IMO gets done.You’ve been quoting the value of The CENTER position & why the Jackson (3names)power Johnson isn’t worth drafting because of that.That gives me hope the value for keeping Shelton is well worth it.Need to address the loss of Brian Allen,but imo they go hand in hand.The starting job is Sheltons & the Cap money The Rams save helps pay for him as they develop a backup CENTER.

I think a guy like Payton Wilson(2nd rd) would be a DREAM Player for Shula who would fit next to Earnest Jones for the next 4 seasons.

Look at Creed Humpries. 2 Superbowls in 3 seasons. Of course he learned from The Best his rookie season. Austin Blythe just like Shelton who learned from John Sullivan.
This Johnson kid was playing a lot at DE at the End of the season.OSean Mathias is going to improve a lot .He was hurt during training camp & had to make for it in game.

I think the center makes the calls in the Shannahan/McVay system, typically. In others, the QB is making the line calls.

The guy that we think Snead wanted to take in the draft a few years ago, you know, during his one camera ‘Oh shit’ look, is a free agent. I don’t know how well Lloyd Cushenberry can play in a gap scheme but he turned out to be pretty good with a zone scheme. He can move and is a smart player.
