Then he's an idiot. An idiot that is a year younger than Josh Jacobs and has about 400 more carries than Jacobs.
Well we don't know what is truly going on that is causing his relationship with the Colts to go straight to the shitter. Irsay is one crazy bastard so who knows what happened there lol.....Don't know why you're calling him an idiot though, seems a little over the top but oh well

Fuck no, at this point I’m running with what we have and drafting from that beast ass RB class next year.

That being said with my fetish of having a premier back.

Gurley
Jackson
Faulk
Dickerson

I’d love to add to that list.

.

I still can't believe the colts let this situation happen. He's been their best player since he joined the team. You'd think they'd bend backwards to keep him happy and help their franchise qb adjust to the nfl.

Just because you can screw a player it doesn't mean you have to do it. Blows my mind.

I would be happy if we got him because I don't know if Akers can be the guy for a full season. That being said, I don't think we'll paying any RBs top dollar after the Gurley fiasco.

And I know we went after McCaffrey but I think he's in a league of his own because of what he brings to the pass game.

This move would be for the next few years, not this year.

I have little faith in Akers ability to play a full season at a top level. Williams, Evans and Rivers aren’t the best second to fourth trip in the league. The Niners and Seahawks have much better groups. Adding Taylor would bring that part of the Rams closer to their main competition.

We really don’t know how the RB contract situations will play out. There will be some big free agents backs available and they will set the market. I doubt any of them approach the 20 million mark.

I would think Dallas is a great fit for Taylor. That's a team built to win right now, with an owner that has a true sense of urgency. Its coach wants to run the ball ... Taylor would take a ton of pressure off Prescott ... there's a strong O-Line.

Right now, I put the Cowboys behind the Eagles and Evil-Niners in the weak NFC. Add Jonathan Taylor for a couple of draft choices (not a #1 ... maybe a #2 and #4), and I would put Dallas right there with Philadelphia and Satan's Team.

Again, when I throw-out these ideas, I can not stress enough ... I don't know what the Hell I am talking about.

I really believe Dallas loves Tony Pollard not only his ability to run, but catch the ball too. Now, can he hold up for a whole season? Well, we are about to see, but IMO, they love Pollard and he will be their guy.

I like Taylor to Miami that makes the most sense and don't count out Chicago either because with Fields & Taylor you have something plus the Bears are due for a big move.

Yeah, I have no idea what Jones thinks. He made a statement yesterday that he feels good about Dallas' RBs.

Still, for a team that "says" it wants to run-the-ball more, there's a lot of carries Pollard would have to absorb. Despite clearly being the better-back last season, Pollard's 193 carries were still forty fewer than Elliott had.

I think Akers came to camp with a different mindset. He bulked up. Intentionally. Not because he came in out of shape. He does have the skill to be a top 5 back. The way I see it, if he's ever gonna have that break out season this would be the time for it. I think they want to see if he will. He's going to be a RFA after the season. So they can have him for another season if they want him. No reason not to give him a shot.

Another thing to consider is the amount of wear and tear on his body. Check out his total carries while at Wisconsin not to mention his years in Indianapolis.
This dude's been run hard and put away wet....

Exactly, over 900 carries in 3 years at Wisconsin. Don't think he has too many realistic years left in him.

Don't think Akers can do this....

If you ask me, Akers bulked up to try to be more durable. He doesn't sniff the top 5 backs in the league and I doubt he's even top 10 as its all based on potential. Akers gets hurt every year and we couldn't even get a good offer for him last year. Could he improve, its possible, but honestly, I wouldn't count on it being as a top back. Just for comparisons sake, here is him vs Taylor. Even Taylor's shit year with injuries last year was better.

No way that the Rams would be remotely interested in a trade for a player that you would have to give up picks for and then sign to a huge contract. Taylor got used and abused in college and now after 4 years in Indy he’s showing his true wear a tear. He is like a shining sports car with 200,000 miles on the odometer. Hell no.
