your wasting your time Ellard80, some here want to just blame McVay today, that's the real head scratcher if you ask me.
He didn’t fumble the ball. But when there were three minutes left and those first two play calls were runs up the middle I started having flashbacks and the nervous tick was brewing.

The way that shit was happening I was starting to think the football gods were conspiring. If Cam doesn’t fumble on the 1, 3 points and the game’s not tied. Kupp fumbling on a routine tackle, I don’t know when I’ve seen him fumble at all. Gay shorting a 47 yarder? An inadvertent snap on a silent count? I guess it’s encouraging that Tampa needed all those gaffes to be in the game.

First of all. Enjoy the W. Nothings guaranteed. Just ask Packers fans.

My 2 take aways are:

1) The Rams need to include Akers and Michel in the run attack.
2) we need Earnest Jones back. Reeder is a glaring weakness on the front 7.

Oh ya for a 1 yard loss after you run up the middle twice for nothing. No he didn’t have the first down the next time when he fumbled he was at the 26 and the first down was the 30. Did the same thing in the 9er game but you can keep defending his calls if you want.

when Akers fumbled he wasn't down yet.... he was standing straight up - he at least's get to about 3rd and 1.

there was nothing the same than the 49ner game... the series before Mcvay tried to pass on 3rd down and very well could have again.

honestly give me a fucking break bro -

the game should have been over about 3 different times, and it had nothing to do with Mcvay

what about up 27-13 with the ball in the 4th quarter on their 30 and Allen snaps the ball over Stafford's head?

the only thing that Mcvay could be criticized for that makes any sense is leaving Akers in.

What the hell are they supposed to do then? Lol
1. Win every game by 50
2. Shutout everyone
3. Never lose yardage
4. Never allow yardage
5. Never turn it over
6. Get 300+ yards passing
7. Get 100+ yards rushing
8. Score TD's
9. No field goals
10. Never miss a tackle
11. Never commit a penalty
12. Do not allow California residents who aren't Rams fans tickets to attend home games

99. Display positive body language at all times
100. Every single Rams players uniform should be dirty
101....except for Matthew Stafford.

That should cover it. Some fans just thrive on misery and criticism and getting others to join in on it. Others just passively troll. I'd like to think that most of us know what it's all about though.

The d backs being 8yds off the ball almost every play in critical situations baffles me. Running the ball on almost every 1st down baffles me. And it must be a kick in Soni Michaels nuts to carry the load when Henderson goes down, and single handly turn this sorry running game around to basically get benched for a guy that's been hurt all year. Akers is more explosive BUT I think we need to step back and split the carries more evenly

Having Akers think you doubt him would be a young HC mistake. Fact is we need Akers if we're going to win it all. He gives our offense a nastiness where they're much harder to get off the field because of his ability to turn short passes into YAC and big gainers.

I love Michel. But he can't do what Akers can do in the pass game.

You tell that kid you trust him. Run ball security drills all week. Then you put the ball in his hand vs SF.

See that’s your problem you look at the whole game instead of situations that can change the outcome. What about when he played for the field goal instead of going for the first down and eventually a touchdown? Did the fumbles matter? Of course but when you are in the situation to win the game mcvay chooses to play it safe and if you can’t see that you’re not paying attention.

i went back and looked at your posts - Bill

every one of your posts this year is bitching about Stafford or bitching about Mcvay

You can laugh sir - but i invite anyone reading this thread to look at your post history.

I thought McVay called a solid game, there were a couple times when I thought maybe play action on first since they were keying on the run.
2 things to me
1 Akers was starting to pick up yards and that came from the commitment to the run
2 you really need to let your O linemen lean on someone instead of back peddle. running the ball is more than feeding the RB it is feeding the O.L too

i remember when ronda barber was having fumbling problems and he changed the way he carried
the ball. he started to carry it way higher like the top of the ball was almost the same height as his chin. maybe they could work with cam and get him to secure the ball better. he is just to good to give up on if they can help him get over the fumbling

Why does he need to play it risky in that situation with a lead 27-3 and getting the ball back after the half? Why does he need to force the playcalling there? As we all witnessed, no lead at half is truly safe.

Id venture to say that the only reason the Rams won today was:

1a: McVays playcalling
1b: Staffords execution
1c: The defenses play through 3 quarters.

I’ve been super hard on McVays late game play calling over the years but I actually don’t think it had much to do with the collapse.

If Akers and Kupp hold onto the ball, if Skowronek downs that punt at the 1 (1H play I know but still), if Ramsey has just an average Ramsey game, this woulda been a 38-10 game.

My only McVay criticism is I felt like the run designs on first down weren’t great. We ran right at Vea like 4 times. I don’t mind running on first down but they’ve gotta be good running plays.

Don't fumble 4 times.

Not interested in the Akers second-guessing.. his first fumble was fluky.. shit happens. Second one, he needs to cover the ball with two hands in that situation... AND it was a great strip by a hellaciously strong guy.. Suh.

McVay and the entire coaching staff was great today. Period.

Yup. It's not mcVay that holds on to the ball for these players. Stop playing sloppy easy to fix mistakes and you'll be in the SB this year. It's really that simple
