I really liked Grant Haley's play... I don't think he's a starter.. but, he was a physical and reliable player.
I think they need to draft a guy in the 2nd or third.. IF Rochell isn't panning out. They need a bigger, athletic guy on the outside... counting on someone Durant's size to last there, especially with teams like the 9ers in the division, isn't a good bet.
Starting Ram corners for 2023 Ramsey/Durant!

I think the Rams like UFA Grant Haley, I know Morris does. Haley should be easily had for an economic price. He could be Morris's 3rd corner. Haley would be a nice replacement for Troy Hill. Haley has 13 NFL starts & had played in 36 games. But he has had some injury issues recently.

This Robert Rochell mystery keeps growing and growing. At this point, I see little effort in coverage when he does find his way onto the defense, which is not much. If I had to guess here there is a serious "learning issue" here that cannot be overcome. I see Rochell as a 5th Ram corner in 2023 if he finally gets a clue.

Shaun Jolly is the young corner who I have been hoping to see on the field with the defense he got speed. Jolly could be the 4th Ram corner. Derion Kendricks I don't like he needs to be replaced early if he does not improve in TC! Kendricks is Ram's 6th CB

Fresh drafted young drafted corners can play early. Snead/McVay/Morris could go into this draft as they did in 2022. Looking to upgrade with much better talent/skill & replace Rochell/ Kendricks on the MR53.

His lack of physicality and tackling problems showed up today.

Rams need to figure something out there this offseason.. because when Hill is far and away your second best corner, you're in bad shape.

LMAO - Kendrick will be The Rams Starting CB next season!!

MARK IT DOWN!! If you’re saying RR31 isn’t giving an effort. Kendrick really worked hard to square up a gunner & if Powelll doesn’t call for a fair catch he has a lane because of his block & playing smart.

Well as ALL MOST ALL POSTERS here don’t like Kendrick. IMO he has the most upside. He has the size & speed.
Don’t know what Troy Hills future is,but Kendrick is a bigger & more physical CB.I don’t know who the LCB was on that Ekler 40 plus yard TD.
—Durant though missed 5 tackles & his 5”7 height will be a liability. Does he have great ball skills ? Does he find the ball in zone coverage. 1 on 1 LMAO!!
Everyone wants Raheem Morris to play Man to Man. WOW ?

Anyone that wants to get there Jolly’s ? That’s cool. I’m all for what is best for The Rams.
I’m just going to keep it real!!

I agree. Hill is a proven and flexible player. He won’t command a ton of $ and he fits well here.

We are going to need some FA’s to fill out the 2023 team… Might as well go with a guy we know well.
Totally agree. Troy Hill is so strong & fits the defense well.
Even if it is a rotation nickel type.

For the Rams sake, I hope you're wrong on this.

Rams have a ton of needs to fill and not enough $ to sign everyone they'd want.

If Durant can't be counted on to be a reliable #2 opposite Ramsey, they have limited options on how they are gonna fill that spot in 2023. Can't count on a rookie to be the guy, and can't imagine they'd want to spend big on a FA.

Edge, OL, S, K, RB, backup QB.. and now CB also...?

Snead is gonna have to earn his paycheck this coming year....

He’s just way too slight, imo. And watching him try to take on a ball carrier, head-on, is a bad comedy.

He's a rookie. I'm giving him and Kendrick a chance to develop. I'm not opposed to bringing in another talented young guy, but I'm not overreacting to guys' rookie years.

Chargers have too many tall weapons.

Been liking Cobie a lot, but yesterday he was "tackling" like Deion Sanders.

Hill's done.

Hill is the same guy he has always been: a depth corner. He is valuable in his flexibility but over time will be inconsistent.

Durant is going to be a starter for us, no reason to think otherwise he just needs seasoning.

Rams have multiple options for the slot. One of those options is Kendrick.

The key this offseason is finding another boundary corner. That and at least one safety who can play over the top.

I don't feel like I'm overreacting. His play in coverage can be really good and he has excellent ball skills.
He's just really slight of frame and not physical at all. I'm not sure how much experience will change that. I pointed out he's a twin of Jason Verrett when it comest to athleticism and general size.. but he's actually several pounds lighter.

I hope I'm wrong.. but I see #2 corner as as big a priority as getting another edge.

If the guy can cover, you deal with some of the tackling deficiencies. But he may well get bigger and stronger if given time. It's never going to be a strength, but it can be less of a weakness.

Allow me to chime in here. I'm not really happy with our corner situation at all. I would be all for picking a fast and physical corner with our first pick in the 2nd round.
Just not seeing either Durant or Kendrick as boundary corners and think they are better fits in the slot.
Factor this in with J. Ramsey's noticeable decline and 'Houston we got problems."

I'm also not sure what to make of Rochelle's lack of progress but just can't see waiting around for him to improve and taking a chance that he ends up like another Terrell Burgess.

We will not win next year let alone make the playoffs if we don't fix our subpar secondary.

I’m not calling him a bum or anything.. but he’s, to me, an absolutely liability in the run game.. and will have problems with bigger receivers. In this division, I don’t think you can have those issues as a starter.

I disagree. If you can cover and have great ball skills, we can work around shortcomings in the running game. This is a pass-first league.

As a Mizzou fan and Rams fan, I'm both thankful and sad that Kris Abrams-Draine and Ennis Rakestraw Jr. are staying at Mizzou for at least one more year. Both of them are seriously talented corners; I'd rate both of them as Day 2 picks, and honestly, they're way better than Akayleb Evans was.

I'd have loved to draft them this year to help our cornerback problem.

Sure…. But even that concept has limitations. The guy can’t tackle at all and is easily blocked out. 9ers & Seattle like to run.
He also will be bullied by bigger WRs.
We’re not talking “on the small side”… he’s very, very slight. Almost a Tutu on D.
He still will see the field… I just don’t think he’s a full time outside starter.
That’s just my team-building perspective… I also seriously doubt a guy that size survives a full season if he’s an outside starter.

He's 5'10" 180. Big difference between him and Tutu. Our coaches should talk to him about using the offseason to get stronger. Regardless, I see him as a slot CB. Think he'll thrive there. I expect Rochell, Kendrick, and Hill (if he returns) or another CB to battle for the outside role across from Ramsey.

Agree - totally & that Cobie Durant is more of a slot CB than a pure CB. I also thought(think) was a small CB.I actually think they’re giving him both an inch & a couple pounds. Either way Durant like Mcvay said is he is a baller. He always finds the ball & has good hand’s & instincts. The thing is is a good QB(Aaron Rogers) will find those mismatches.I like players coming is & out on rotation to mix it up & the D” creating those.Durant as a slot might find himself in a mismatch against TE’s.He missed over 5 tackles against the Chargers himself.
— I wonder WHO are The Starting CB’s against the Hags ?
Does Kendrick’s or RR31 get on the field? IMO I think Kendrick might get his chance ?

Then again David Long needs to be show cases for other NFL teams. Taylor Rapp as well.

Nick Scott needs to sit IMO.
