Saddened by his death. Twenty-four is too young, suicidal thoughts and mental illness as a whole are not talked about nearly enough, and I hope that whatever demons he had are gone in the next life.

I have dealt with two suicides in my life..... one of them my uncle Tommy (my dads side) committed suicide in 1971 right after coming back from serving in Vietnam. I think that was the only time I saw my pops cry as my pops came back from service in Vietnam in 1968.
And my pal Julian in 2014.... I knew him from 1st grade and we used to fly out to St. Louis to watch the Rams.... Devastating

Very sad. Reminds us that some these players really struggle in the world in spite of making it in the NFL.

Posted this in another thread but it’s relevant to our team and this sad situation…
His girlfriend called 9-1-1 and said he had a "history of mental illness." Not a lot of details yet. But if I were to guess, I'd think he'd been struggling significantly for years.

His girlfriend says he had a "history of mental illness," but I haven't seen much detailed info yet.

Yes, but these are men who have, in many cases, played football since they were 5 or so. I'm not saying this IS CTE, just that it is hard not to wonder.
