There will be a handful of useful guys released after the draft when teams find their replacements. I don't imagine the Rams will do much between now and then other than signing their own like Michel (or previously own like Fox @BonifayRam).

Clowney is a Floyd type, no? Need someone quicker twitch than him on the other side.

Isn’t there a set date for the comp pick guys to sign by for their former team to get said pick — and after that date the comp picks are not applicable? Thought it was around June in years past. Maybe I’m wrong about that.

I want a smart veteran corner who can tackle.
I'm working on the assumption they draft a corner and that Rochell has to be the guy starting in place of Williams.

As of now the Rams should have the following draft capital for NEXT yrs 23' draft.

Why I am talking about that draft is because for any post 22' draft moves, whether it be during camp or before the 23' trade deadline, they will have substantial mid-round/late round ammo to add an edge or CB after they see how their younger players shake out.

No 4th..traded for Michel, but...
2
3
5
5c - Corbett
5c - Williams
6
6 trade - GB Punter
6 trade - Woods
6c - SJD
7 trade Brockers
7c - Obo

So a good possibility they can go get a guy if they see the need and a fit somewhere that might be available later.

?
Rams have their 2nd and 3rd next year.
The comp picks seem right.. and there's the possibility they get a 3rd for Rah getting a HC job next offseason.
Lots of capital next season.
12 picks feels like too many... so trades make sense.

I think the next few moves will be made after the AD extension which I assume will be announced in the next day or two.

Yea I agree fully with what she's saying OS. The complexity and dominance of our pass rush in the playoffs was something to behold. It single handledly closed out 3 of our 4 playoff games including the super bowl. I would suspect that makes us more inclined to spend money on finding a vet across from Floyd. Rochelle/Long seem to be in a better place to start at CB than Hollins/Lewis seem to be at OLB.

I made the comment after reading stuff from Snead's zoom call that it may be trade deadline/midseason before we add an edge other than a draft pick. If you want idea's look at the next two years free agent edge guys. Trade something for them then lose them and get a 3rd round comp the following year. The only thing more text book Snead is signing guys cut so they don't hurt the comp pick formula.

I guess do what we did last year. At the trade deadline see which reams aren't going to the playoffs then offer them 2023 draft picks for and edge rusher.

I'm not against Clowney but I want to see the Rams get someone who wants a ring and not necessarily someone who wants a paycheck.
Same here. He played well last year though

Clowney has seen what fowler, floyd, and von have been able to do when lined up next to AD so I would think we'd get a very motivated and productive year from him if the rams sign him. I would definitely talk with AD before making an offer, though. If AD is on board, than I'm on board.

Might have a surprise in the 2023 comp picks if a certain DC is a new HC.

We'll have to see how many of those picks we still have come next years draft.

Hopefully one that isn't in the last year of his contract.

Well, that's the point. That draft ammo can be used between the 22' post draft and next yrs trade deadline to improve the 22' roster.
