Renfrow's a good player but he is no Kupp. This is a good example of people wanting to lump them together because they're both white IMO.

Kupp not only separates through great routework but he also brings size, power, and RAC. He's like a mix of Rice and Fitzgerald. You can check skin color at the door with this dude.

I don't think it is because they are both white. They are both scrappy and rely on supreme route running to get open on many of their routes. Kupp even has said one of his routes for a TD this playoffs came from Renfrow. They saw him do it in pre-season and incorporated it themselves.

Kupp is bigger and faster which allows him to be less of just a slot receiver like Renfrow. Renfrow can make plays out of the slot, but he is still, by and large, a slot WR. Kupp is also much better in the run game, both as a runner and a blocker.

Different players but yet with quite a few similarities as well. I rate Renfrow very highly, ever since his Clemson days, and have banged the drum for him to be recognized for years. But he is not on Kupp's level. Which really just speaks to how incredible Kupp is, more than anything else. I also don't think Renfrow could succeed against the quantum of double teams Kupp often attracts in the secondary. Opposing defences more often seem to double Waller on the Raiders, and now, I suspect Davante Adams.

Congrats to Cooper Kupp!

Rams keeping core players and building around them. They also add core-type players. I'm glad that the Kupp and AD contracts are settled for now. It's great to know going into training camp there should NOT be any big distractions.

One salary year of about $29.3m in 2025 after AD retires. Basically rams will carry an extra QB-sized cap hit that year and the SB window probably closes for a bit.

My thinking is, they'll figure out a way to rework that contract and potentially it was already part of the conversation. We may carry some dead money for several years after AD is "retired" even though he's sitting in his gorgeous complex in Hidden Hills. I put nothing past this organization at this point. They are schooling the NFL when it comes to working the cap. This is Stan's crown jewel and he will do everything to keep us on top.

Well, that is the last yr of Stafford's deal. If he is still playing well, they can extend him and lower his cap number that yr. Might be a big "if", but possible.
