This team is going to kill me I tell you.

Beyond my wildest hopes and dreams.

Top on down, we are the most admired team in the NFL.

I can tell by the additional shit I get from my local whiner fans.

I just do the AD ring finger point and say "World Champions".

100% shuts them them down these days. I set up a whiner pilot I work along with his wife some years ago and he use to tell everyone how I set them up and now has four great kids with her. He can not even hardly look at me since the SB win. I think it is kinda funny. Do not know him that well. I am going to see him again soon at a mutual friends retirement party. I so want to wear something Rams but will pass in respect for the mutual friend. Maybe.....

Damn it just can't get any better than this. And I have been wrong about this before just recently.

GO RAMS!!!

Sport that AD jersey of yours............ low key

There is no way Wagner sees nearly that amount of money though ...
Good chance he's not the only one that doesn't see all of it.

Typical Rams. Always overpaying.

What has this Kupp guy ever done.

Even two years ago, that probably would have been the response around here, as people can get really neurotic about contracts. But seeing the way this team has been able to beat the cap and get out from under contracts like those given to Goff, Gurley and Cooks without going through cap hell seems to have eased a lot of contract angst.

Also this is a good watch as much as he's disliked around here in Andrew Brandt.

again with the misinformation. i hated when he said AD got a $45m raise when his whole job in the interview was to explain how teams use the signing bonus to beat the cap.

AD got a $30m raise as his previous contract average was $21m per year. still hefty but nowhere near what's being reported.

edit - actually he's right. brain fart on my part. AD is not paying back any of the signing bonus (is he?) so the new contract is in fact a $45m raise. ouch. it also means that instead of being paid an average of $22m per year for his previous contract it actually ends up as $28m per year with the signing bonus money being kept by AD. he was getting paid qb money already and we didn't even know it.

I have a couple of collogues at work too and every time I just say "What a beautiful day it is." and they know what I am referring to, but they just shake their head and agree. One of them is a good friend and he's a Laker fan too, so we talk about basketball more then anything else, but we keep it civil. Another good friend of mine wife's a huge Whiner and lately when we together, she just comments about how that game slipped away and I just smile and ask, how Trey Lance is looking?

Worth. Every. Penny.

I still believe we would have won Super Bowl LIII with him. Glad to have him locked up.

Man.. I wish the Buss family would find a Kroenke-type and sell the team. They're out of their depth at this point. The Westbrook trade is one of the worst in league history.

chill out, lol. name-calling like a 3rd grader. make your family proud.

i didn't even say anything about AD in this thread. clearly, you know what he did and for some reason, you're hyper-sensitive about it. it's okay if people think differently than you do, and many do. no big deal man.
brucebruce,
I'm guessing that OldSchool may have forgotten to use the blue font on his post.
(And if he's like me he probably doesn't know how to do it anyway- so there's that.....)

Clown was an intentional choice of words after he kept for some unknown reason calling the AD contract renewal a circus because of AD's actions. There are after all clowns in the circus so I thought it was a fitting pun. AD never was in the media talking about demanding more money or any such nonsense. He did one podcast and as we know now the deal was all but done at that point we know this from McVay's appearance on the same exact podcast. The media and some fans made it a circus. Opposing fans fueled the fire because they want him gone so that we're a lesser team without him. AD didn't do anything wrong he for the most part quietly contemplated his future.

Definitely don't mention how the Whiners have 1 SB and the Rams have 2 since the implementation of the salary cap. :laugh3:

You're preaching to the choir. I keep telling another friend of mine that for the first time I would rather have the Clipper's owner then Jeanie, but that's just me. And we all knew that Westbrook trade was a mistake.

nah, he is dead serious in every post here. he doesn't even realize how he embarrassed himself. it's quite funny.

the reality is no one uses retirement as a negotiation ploy to break the bank, AGAIN, and make it so public if they were seriously considering it. mcvay did the same but at least this is McVay's first bite at the apple. at least mcvay's salary doesnt hurt the rams in signing additional talent.

to many players, money equals respect. to a few players, especially the ones at the top, they see the bigger picture. luckily the rams have a few of those.

At the end of the day, I don't begrudge any player who tries to maximize his financial gain during his career, provided: (1) he shows up every day and gives his all, and (2) he cooperates with the team's efforts to structure deals to pay others and create a window of opportunity for team success.
