I wonder why he hasn't been named coach of the year. Everyone talks about how great he is but it doesn't happen. The last 2 years he coached his ass off.

BirthdayI had a birthday today November 14th, and I too remember them all since George Allen in 1970. I hope McVay stays for a long long time.

I am also almost 66 ... also have seen them all since (and including) George Allen ... also have soft spots for those mentioned (and a couple not mentioned) ... AND, could not Agree More about Sean McVay.

By-the-Way, if that is a fairly recent photo of you in front of SoFi (with that lovely lady) ... then you are aging much better than me ... and ...

It is and I agree about my wife! She’s getting younger, it seems.

#1 McVay is the best rams coach in my lifetime (59 years old going on 60) Note the management and front office are also the best I have seen as well.

#2 I would have liked to see what Dick Vermeil could have done if he had decided not to leave after the super bowl in 1999-2000 (In spite of the ownership)

#3 I liked John Robinson especially with Zampese as the OC but I feel like he was handcuffed by ownership and front office at that time.

Martz was able to do well initially because of Vermeil's legacy talent.
I don't see it that way.
I remember just how bad of a job Vermiel was doing before Martz.
Coddling of Phillips and putting up with Banks at QB. Letting June Henley be on our roster and get significant snaps as a "try hard" guy.
I could guess half the Rams plays by formation in 98.
Martz changed all that and in fact, changed the NFL.
Vermiel had to copy his offense and take it to KC. Took our QB to get it done.
Martz had his problems most of it being Ego IMO.
Yes, Sean Fucking McVay is our coach and the best in the NFL. Better than all of them.
He heeds to go down in history like Shula did with the Dolphins, Laundry did with the Cowboys and Noll did with the Steelers.
He needs to be a Ram For LIFE !

Right Now McVay is 9-1 this season.

Nine great coaching games and one bad one..... last weekend the 3rd and 4th quarters. ..... but we squeaked it out.

I don’t think there’s much question right now. And yes. He’s the best coach the Rams have ever had. And I think that is only going to build.
May he stay until he retires!!

Let's not forget Mr. Snead, though.

It's funny, when Snead came to the Rams they were the worst team in the league. A lot of his pals around the league called him up and said "at least you're in the nfc West". All the teams were horrible. Until Snead showed up, when all of a sudden the other 3 teams became much better and he was stuck with Jeff Fisher.

Yep. Often not mentioned but I don’t think really overlooked by true Rams fans, Snead has provided some pretty good tools for McVay - many of them under the radar. It’s a great duo.
