The Chargers are in talks with Jim Harbaugh about replacing Staley. I think it will happen. With a franchise QB like Herbert it would be hard for Harbaugh to turn down. The only issue would be the Spanos family's well earned reputation for being cheap.

It would obviously happen after the NCAA season.

Would McVay hire him back? He would be reunited with Pleasant as his DB coach. There definitely is talent on the roster. IMO it would be the final coaching piece to building a Super Bowl contending franchise. Let's hope it happens because it irks me that Morris is taking credit for Pleasant's changes. Funny how none of the media ask him why he didn't make these changes sooner. He had Ramsey one of the best man coverage CBs in the NFL so the idea he didn't have the players is BS. Pleasant has got the secondary playing very similarly to how they played under Staley, i.e. a zone, man hybrid scheme.

Well all we can do is hope.

YOUR SO FREAKING SILLY. Your probably one of these guys who if back in SO CAL would have season tickets to The Chargers than The Rams because there a Third of the Price.
-Half of that is True ,you did have Chargers season tickets. WHY ? I don’t know that -

Staley is & was a JOKE!! You’d think Cam Akers being on the market for nothing would have seemed like a nice Fit for The Chargers.Mcvay thinks to much of Cam Akers to put with Brandan Staley.

OLDBUTNOTDEAD yet - Mcvay’s best Man in a way is Raheem Morris. Mike Lafluer LOVES Raheem Morris as a friend & mentor. He talks about growing up & admiring Morris & what he meant to him as a teenager.

You know Chris Beake has a better relationship with Sean Mcvay than Staley.

Chris Shula is the Rams coach who had worked with Aubrey the most as a Rams coach.

Yes - You think Jalen Ramsey was easy to work with ? Respects ,but Come On MAN!! Cobie Durant is taking on a leadership role & did learn a lot from being mentored by Jalen Ramsey who is a dawg!!

Your Boy Kendrick is on an island with excellent WR’s & Rams Fans are having issues.Monday Night won’t be an easy task t again.

The Chargers have 5 RB on the roster.. they had no need for Akers

Staley was a phenomenal DC for us. We had the #1 defense in the NFL with him as DC.

Though we won a SB with Morris. Staley was fine, but I am ok where we are. Don’t need to hope for Staley to get dumped so we can pick him up AGAIN….

Even if Staley gets fired, and I think things are looking bad for him right now, I don't see a reunion.
I just think that he'll want to go somewhere else to get a reset. Maybe I'm wrong.

And I think that if the young Rams D plays anywhere near the level it has the first two weeks or, somehow, keeps improving.. Morris finally gets his HC job.

Staley on the hot seat?
That's not news and moving on from him wouldn't be a surprise.

Harbaugh to the NFL?
That's not news and moving to a pro job wouldn't be a surprise.

Some sports talk host out of Toronto, Canada claiming to have insider info connecting the two?
He's in a paid-to-speculate-and-bloviate business.
But, I can't buy that he's got insider info.

As for Staley being that boomerang child that comes back home?
He had one good regular season as a DC. I tend to feel that coaches earn their stripes by the post-season.
I'm not convinced he's the defensive guru/genius some around here think he is.

Staley was very good in his one and only year as a DC, as a head coach his defenses have been middle of the road. Maybe he isn’t cut out to be a head coach, hell, we’re not even sure he’s cut out to be a DC.
It’s weird, Raheem is well liked and respected by coaches but hated by some of the fan base. It’s rumored that Raheem will get HC interviews this cycle so maybe the rams will be in the market, otherwise nah.
