Indy doesn't need a WR like Van.Back when Indy first floated the idea of a trade, one of the options they floated was a good WR and second round pick for Taylor. So does Snead package Jefferson who is in a contract year and a 2nd in 2025? The emergence of Nacua and Atwell could make Jefferson expendable. I like Jefferson and he did make a couple of key receptions. But I'd rather have Taylor.
Williams is a good RB. But I question if he is truly a #1RB for a team with SB aspirations. Rivers is a decent backup but he lacks the speed to threaten a defense. We saw how a fast running QB or RB changes how teams must defend in the red zone.
Never miss an opportunity bro.Taylor is asking for McCaffery type of money. Structured properly thats about $14M/yr cap hit. The Rams have Havenstein on the books next year for more than $14M. For that money I'd rather have Taylor.
That's what happens when you have a few weeks to report healthy or you lose a year of service. So…
Now, suddenly, Taylor is okay playing without an extension, and the Colts are ready to let him play out his deal and then franchise tag him?
Interesting.
Sure…but it also kicks the can of animosity down the road for both sides. That's what happens when you have a few weeks to report healthy or you lose a year of service.
Absolutely but we all knew all along Taylor wanted more money so he's not going to hurt this years earnings more than he has to and still keep himself set up for the future earnings. This is all about money and anybody thinking he'll take a deal that's less than the top 2 or 3 RB's is likely kidding themselves.Sure…but it also kicks the can of animosity down the road for both sides.
Animosity gets easily erased by big numbers and dollar signs.Absolutely but we all knew all along Taylor wanted more money so he's not going to hurt this years earnings more than he has to and still keep himself set up for the future earnings. not Noteboom, what will we do if Jackson gets hurt again? Getting Stafford killed doesn't sound like a good plan.My Trade Deadline hook-up for Brian Burns. Carolina will likely be 0-6 when they hit their week 7 BYE. They are spinning their wheels retaining Burns for a team going no-where and in need of a serious rebuild.
Carolina gets our 2025 1'st round draft pick, and any combination of Noteboom, Brian Allen, Van Jefferson & Brycen Hopkins, ... hell, they can have all 4 of them imo.

Arcuri or McClendon? Sorry brother but that's a no foe me. I wouldn't mind trading the other guys and our 2025 pick but not Boom. Now let me ask you this, considering what the Rams offered for Burns and the Panthers said no, don't you think that they wouldn't trade him for that package because it would make them look like idiots? One of McClendon or Arcuri as back-up works for me. We are talking about Brian Burns here for the next 4-5 years, that and drafting a LT with our 1'st round pick is enough incentive for yours truly. jmo.
Rebuild is already happening with a good defense and a rookie QB #1 pick. No need to trade their best defensive player especially when they can easily afford to pay him.My Trade Deadline hook-up for Brian Burns. Carolina will likely be 0-6 when they hit their week 7 BYE. it was reported that they offered their 1st in 2024 and 2025. Now if they take a significantly lower offer how would that look? not to smart if you ask meHave they received better offers ? Not sure why they would look like idiots. The Panthers said no last year to us, although I'm not sure what we offered, I just don't know what they truly expect to get out of him. Noteboom is likely our best trade bait, without including him I'm not sure we can make it happen.

yeah I just don't see that happening. I guess I' just see this one differently than you. Cheers broOf course, Burns had an extra year on his contract left when that offer was made. So a drop off in compensation demand may seem natural now.
