I expect a bunch of trade downs.

Jourdan has repeated one thing a few times; the Rams want as many picks as possible under 150.

We currently have 3.

It will be hard to stomach a trade down at 36, but if the goal is more picks that pick has the most value. Being early day 2, perhaps a tad extra value.

I still like your original premise from a couple weeks ago:
KEEP #36
Trade down #77.
I’d even be up for trading down from #69 if the Rams want more picks in the top 150, but an instant starter, possible foundation player will be there at #36.

Round 2
32. Pittsburgh Steelers from Chicago Bears
33. Arizona Cardinals from Houston Texans
34. Detroit Lions from Arizona Cardinals
35. Indianapolis Colts
36. Los Angeles Rams

None of the teams in front of us need a QB. I have a hard time thinking we go QB but… hmm?

Who trades up to get one in front of us?

Please grab a difference maker at #36. There’s a handful of players to choose from who can come in and start, especially on defense.
A backup QB? No thanks.

Would this take by Jourdan imply we don’t have a QB in our plan early?

“Around the televising of pick No. 23, some Rams assistant coaches and certain personnel staff began filing downstairs, from the “war room” where all of their draft intel was pouring in, to the spacious bottom floor of their draft house in the San Fernando Valley.

That marked the official sign that the team was not going to trade up — a small chance in the first place — but if the right guy with a Rams-scouted first-round grade fell within reasonable reach of Sean McVay, Les Snead, Tony Pastoors, Kevin Demoff and the assortment of staff on that top floor”

I watched several Levis games and I am convinced he is a bust with his poor decision-making.

Give me Brian Branch, Michael Mayer, or Torrence O’Cyress please!

Some good talent left, so much so that I'm still hoping for a trade down. With McDonald and Forbes gone, I'm in favor of it.

TE - Mayer
CB - Porter Jr
S - Branch
QB - Hooker
QB - Levis
OG - Avila
OG - Torrence
TE - Washington
TE - Laporta
DE - Adebawore
OC - Michael Schmitz
CB - Ringo
OT - Mauch
DE - K.White
WR - Hyatt
WR - Mingo
CB - C.Smith

And I'm probably missing some guys

What are you all hoping for?
Either too early or do not want. Left off the two best to me Ojulari and Brents and Washington has medical questions so would rather not him either.

Levis to me would be one of the worst picks we could make just not a smart QB at all and really does not seem like a McVay guy.

What we should do now is to trade down and load up on Oline. But my wanting that badly means that Snead won't do it. So which undersized WR will we pick now?
Les has his eye on this guy.

Foskey or Levis and I'd be happy with either. It will depend upon how much McVay likes Levis. Make no mistake he's a project which is why he's still on the board. Levis is at least a one year project which IMO is why he wasn't taken in the first round.

I'd be surprised if the 49ers don't try to move up to get Levis. Which is why if they don't jump the Rams they should take him at 36 if McVay likes him. Other wise take Foskey at 36 and Tune in the third round if he's still on the board. The Rams need players who can start in 2024 if needed. They don't need more lower picks.
I’m not a big fan of Levis, but if being a project mattered that much, then Richardson wouldn’t be a first round pick either.

Y'all thought I'd lose it if we didn't draft Gibbs. But really, I will absolutely lose my shyte if Snead drafts a tiny fast WR at #36.
It will be epic, I promise you...
Notice that the two teams in the NFC championship game last year both put a very strong premium on defensive line. EVEN when they don't have a need there.

Coincidence?

Hardly.

Levis does not seem like Shanahan's kind of QB. Besides, after taking Lance just two years ago and giving up so much, there's no way they're going QB again so early.

I like Dorian Thompson Robinson as QB in later rounds than will Levi's.

Stay at 36 get your man and keep moving.

Saying a prayer we draft Mayer (baby Gronk)
I'm saying a prayer he's the one guy we DON'T take. lol. Can't remember the last time a very large and not very fast or quick TE became a significant difference maker. I see this guy as Kyle Brady and, IMO, this team has far bigger needs.
