I look it this way, if he's not too impressive in his last few games the Rams can sign him as a backup being somewhat under the radar. But he might be gone anyway because a few teams may outbid for him. We'll see. Makes me realize more that Wolf and Perkins are fools gold.

Hm.
New England? He's not enough of a pocket guy to use the entire field. I think that makes him a no-go there.
Miami? If, for some reason, they decide to move on from Tua, it won't be for a step backward. They'd be going for Jimmy or nothing, imo.
Raiders? Why? Carr is much better and doesn't cost that much, big picture.
Baltimore? I don't see them changing their offense.
Tennessee.. No idea.
Texans? Davis has better stats on a worse team than Mayfield did.

I don't know. Maybe?
But, he wasn't beating out Sam Darnold.
He beat out Sam Darnold, on the field as rookies and in Carolina even though Sam had a year on him
Other than that, I dont think you understood my post. He'd be good competition (at a reasonable price) Belicheck likes a mobile QB, can look thru the history of backups if you like. Cam being a starter. Alas, there will be plenty of spots for him.
Carr btw will only have a dead cap of 5 mill after the season or paid 33 mill in 2023 and 42 mill in 2024. As dumb as the Raiders are there's no way they pay him that.
Mills? Lol. Better stats? Like 3 wins and 18 losses? Good grief......

Warts all around… and he’s not any better. And he didn’t win games either.
The Raiders aren’t cutting Carr for Baker. They’re stuck and will extend him.
Cam was the Bridge. Pats still have dirt cheap QBs with similar numbers.

Baker is what we’ve seen over 5 years. Nothing to get excited about, overall. He’s small and can’t run. Nice arm.

Man your inability to read what someone writes is pretty annoying
Try again, or maybe have someone read it to you.
I didnt say the Raiders would cut Carr for Mayfield. Not even close.

My worthless theory is after 2 days with the Rams Bake could just let loose and play. Packers game he was part of McVay’s offense, thinking too much, a lot of mental clutter.

Sorry.
You literally wrote Carr could be traded or released.

I understand you’re saying Mayfield would be competing for a spot.

I still think it’s very, very unlikely

Has arm talent and toughness, I am still trying to decide whether he is not seeing the field well at times or is overthinking. The sample size is pretty small although I have seen several of his games since his Oklahoma days.
I think with protection, coaching, and mentorship he could get us to our next starter if we keep him past Stafford's tenure, however long that might be

I figured he'd come back down to earth a bit last night. But anyone expecting him to lead us to victory in Green Bay was a bit delusional. He's playing behind a shit Oline with our B team at receiver. He also is still learning the offense. Hopefully we can keep him next year as the #2 QB.
18 degrees s much better suited to running than passing. Cam averaged over 5.5 yards per carry, but got only 12 carries. The Packers knew better and kept it on the ground when it mattered. Every scout DC in the universe knows Sean has trouble with his patience, and they lure him into becoming 1 dimensional and getting his QB slaughtered. Martz did the same thing to Warner. Sean, please let Akers and Williams give Baker a chance. If your response to this thread is our OL isn’t good enough to run, Cam looked pretty good sporting an average over 5 per carry.

Mind you this is going to be a QB heavy class coming out too. At least 5 pretty damned good QB’s coming out that’s going to make this off season interesting!

Pretty fair assessment, I also noticed that we had 2 or 3 drives in a row where we tried to be cute on our first set of downs whether it was a jet sweep or? Sometimes you just punch them in the mouth and execute

Yeah it really pissed me off that in a game where everyone knew we had to run it, and where it was effective, he completely disregarded it. 12 carries is a joke for this line, they need help from that run game because they're completely outgunned in pass pro. At this point I'm thinking it's straight ego exactly like it was with Martz.

It's one thing when you had a line that could do it last year in the playoffs. But now? C'mon man. Stafford almost got killed already with that shit. You get a nice windfall of a backup off the waiver wire and what, let's get him killed too? It's crazy to me.

You have to have a fist to do that though….

This team would be absolutely unwatchable if we had stayed with wolf and perk. It's barely watchable with bake, haha.... What a disaster of a season. Feels like old times...
Unwatchable and unable to properly assess the remaining WRs. We now get a good look at Tutu, Van and…..and….and uhhhh… and who else is left? Harold Jackson? Flipper Anderson? Tony Horne?

And take a look at FA RBs. Loaded and some will be reasonable $$$.
