If they keep Corbett.. do they draft Bruss?

No way to know for certain. If Bruss was as highly regarded by our scouts as was reported, I would think/hope yes, but who knows.

A Center being added was essential after Allen & Shelton were injured, and a few of us thought better competition for Kolone could only help our overall OL depth situation prior to Skura's being plucked off the N.Y. Giants practice squad, and like Aboushi, he has plenty of NFL starting experience. A new Center is likely to take a good 6 weeks to learn our system and line calls, so you can bet that Skura is being pushed hard with only Kolone ahead of him on the depth chart as of today. Once Allen returns and if the Rams remain intrigued with Skura, I imagine Carberry will look towards cross-training him as a back-up OG as well. It's my belief that Shelton's destiny has him competing at LG next year for the starting job as Edwards moves on in free agency, although Anchrum and another interior line draft pick may have something to say about that. I fully expect the Rams to draft an OG/C in 2023.

We can’t afford to wait 6weeks for a new IC to learn our playbook and line calls.

Skura should be our new starting OC vs Panthers and Stafford can call protections if necessary. Hell, he’s probably been doing it for Kolone all along.

Skura is a seasoned vet and he’s had 2 weeks to assimilate this O. Let’s roll!

Maybe because Edwards isn't a world beater at guard. Would've been the smarter play but sadly it ain't so.

Mebbe so but don't forget that Edwards is still on his rookie contract and Corbett was offered a huge FA deal. Sometimes ya gotta make a judgement call based on the dollars as much as anything else.

Yes, that's true but sometimes you also get what you paid for. I'd gladly take the discount if it was of great value but it hasn't been that way so far.

And Hassan riddick and there was a lb in Cleveland and a few others. Think there was another guy in Carolina last year too. Look at guys in the last year or next to last year of their contracts.
