I'm sure Snead is sniffing around for affordable potential trades, just as he's raided a few teams of practice squad players, but the Rams still haven't made use of Aboushi at OG, or even Chandler Brewer for that matter. Aboushi is a veteran RG, so unless he's completely failed to impress during practice, I suspect we may see him enter the picture before Snead shells much out for more interior help. jmo.
Could be he skura brought here for a reason hopefully one or anyone can be a diamond in the rough but Mcvay has said it 2x now already and I've never seen him almost desperate something I whole heartedly agree and definitely think a couple of moves may take place one way or another.

Mcsnead made this exact same mistake after 2018 sb run. You would think they would learn...guess not.
Totally agree and that's what makes our FA moves baffling. I think I'll add this one in just to play devil's advocate, but how much did Von Miller having us in holding patten waiting for him to decide impact us in pivoting towards strengthing our o-line? I still think they should have prioritized the o-line before even entertaining anything else but I'm guessing us giving up the picks that we did and how he performed in the playoffs impacted that.

Moves to consider although I'm not sure if it would help, but I would kick the tires on Kyle Long personally. I'm not sure what he has left, but he's been a quality starter before and wouldn't cost much. Just a thought.

Corbett was a bust on someone else’s roster.. that’s the most likely path, imo.

A Center being added was essential after Allen & Shelton were injured, and a few of us thought better competition for Kolone could only help our overall OL depth situation prior to Skura's being plucked off the N.Y. Giants practice squad, and like Aboushi, he has plenty of NFL starting experience. A new Center is likely to take a good 6 weeks to learn our system and line calls, so you can bet that Skura is being pushed hard with only Kolone ahead of him on the depth chart as of today. Once Allen returns and if the Rams remain intrigued with Skura, I imagine Carberry will look towards cross-training him as a back-up OG as well. It's my belief that Shelton's destiny has him competing at LG next year for the starting job as Edwards moves on in free agency, although Anchrum and another interior line draft pick may have something to say about that. I fully expect the Rams to draft an OG/C in 2023.

I think it is generally too early for trades thats 2hy it comes a month later after 8 gamesteams by that point know where they are going. Carolina was an aberation weird that they whacked Rgule so quickly.

Our tackles aren't the issue. It's the 3 spots inside of them
Oh really Notebook already eclipsed Whit in 5 games that Whit took in a 17 game season.

Whit - 17 games 5 sacks 16 pressures

Noteboom - 5 games 5 sacks 20 pressures

Decide for yourself.

I can decide that the interior is the bigger problem right now.
3 of those games Boom has played include truly ELITE edge rushers.
Those are tough for anyone.
The only elite edge Whit faced last year would’ve been Bosa.

Shoulda kept him
Why spend money on talented OL? We all know good coaching can turn any 7th rounder and UDFA into a quality NFL starter. Or a less talented OL can just be schemed around by a genius coach. I’d rather spend $15M per year on a high profile WR who’s a 50/50 ball specialist and will make an actual legit impact on the game.

No question that Big Whit is the superior LT, but lining up Edwards/Evans next to him isn't doing the kid any favors, that along with the revolving door at Center we've been dealing with. Personally I'd move Alaric Jackson to LG and have Aboushi take over at RG, ... I believe that can help Noteboom as well as our run game & pass blocking on that side as well.

I suppose this is where it came from. This is one of the stupidest articles ever. Wtf would Anderson do for this team? Can he be 50 yds down field in a half a second then yes makes sense. Only person I'd care about is Burns obviously. As far as McCaffrey as much as I think it just would end hus career too lol I'd only do it if we had the other birds in hand and doubt the money is there if we got the other birds. I'd call Cleveland for a back and not Hunt or Chubb.

I think you are referring to Cleveland’s D’Earnest Johnson. And yes I’d be interested. He was awesome last year in a limited role.

I’m no expert and I don’t study tape but I always thought Corbett was a solid, above average OG. Better than Edwards, Coleman, Anchrum (at this point) and Evans.

Letting Corbett go was a huge mistake. Perhaps the Rams thought he would fetch much more than he did on the open market. The contract he got from Carolina is quite affordable for what he brings. I was also a huge proponent of bringing Saffold back, a number of years ago now. You can never have enough good offensive linemen. It is the engine of the offense, and one position I do not mind overpaying a bit for, particularly if a player can play multiple positions on the line, considering how often injuries strike in the trenches, which is why I was so in favor of keeping Saffold (though by now he might be a bit long in the tooth). Corbett can play multiple positions as well. How huge would that be right now?

If they keep Corbett.. do they draft Bruss?
