It sure seems like they're wanting to focus more on run defense. That was an area of weakness for most the season. It got better down the stretch. Until the Philly game. Signing Ford and Landman points to trying to strengthen that area. Landman could be a very nice under the radar signing.
Right now, as is their roster is a legit contender. If they hit on a few draft picks it becomes that much better. Do they look for someone who can make an immediate impact the way Verse and Fiske did? Of do they think about the future and draft a quarterback like Jaxson Dart with their first pick? Their roster is good enough to compete now and be able to redshirt a guy like Dart for a couple years. Unless a desperate team with an earlier pick wants to take a chance with him to be their guy right away.
We did a damn good job against Hurtz in the playoff game except for one play. I think our pass rush would have offset Daniels running ability.Maybe.
You've got more confidence in our ability to corral a running QB than I do.
With health and another solid draft?
Absolutely.
As hard as that was to decipher, I think I agree with most of this....I don’t think other NFL teams are getting enough credit.Your talking Tea Leafs. I think the cuts you were talking about isn’t going to happen from draft predictions.
There’s a couple of dots that still need to be filled.I’ll find it interesting which way The Rams are going.
I can see The Rams trading back in the first round. The reason is I say that is because of the window to win now within the next 3 years. The Rams are structured that way.
1.Of course is MLBer.Where is the value though.IMO 2nd rd.Rams need a 2nd rd pick.
2.TE - value as well is 2nd3rd rd.The Rams need a pass catcher
who can replace Higbee.Plus learn from the Veteran.
3.RB - value is 2nd/3rd rd.Kyren Williams becomes a Free Agent.
Corum needs to step up more as well.Deep RB group has value though.
OT - This has been a need for awhile now.Noteboom never panned out. This could be the year
The Rams get a OT.At the least to replace Higbee for now. With this group bringing in a Top Tackle
in The 1st Rd might be the call.
DEPTH & protecting Stafford/Jimmy G. We’ll be important. There’s also Free Agency next season though.
I can go into who might be better than The Rams. There’s a lot of teams right now.Until the squares are filled We don’t know all that much.
The Rams were the 2nd youngest team in 2024.Until The Rams get past Green Bay there will be a cloud over this team. Davante Adams might be that game changer though against them.
Sometimes, I think So Ram operates on a higher plateau than the rest of us.As hard as that was to decipher, I think I agree with most of this....
Look forward to the party and free bar when that comes in.My £100 bet at 25-1 says yes.
Right now its all subjective. Opinion. Biases do come into play. But can anyone say there is a team out there clearly better than the Rams? I don't think so.
Confusing post since nothing negative has happened with the team.Makes me think about the “run it back,” year. High expectations that came crashing down in a hurry
Hurts was nursing a knee issue and the snow helped the defense, IMO.We did a damn good job against Hurtz in the playoff game except for one play. I think our pass rush would have offset Daniels running ability.
And the snow hurt our offense. Kinda goes both ways. And it was the same team that blew out the next two opponents.Hurts was nursing a knee issue and the snow helped the defense, IMO.
I think the Lions are really gonna miss Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn. Johnson was a freaking genius last year. And Glenn held that D together (up until the playoffs) despite a ridiculous number of injuries. OTOH, Lions will get back Hutchinson and a bunch of starters back from injury.Gotta think the L-L-Lions are gonna be hot after losing in their 1st game to the Commodes, who are also making improvements. These 2 teams will be our main competition.
I agree, in this draft i think our FO make a conscious effort to make up the difference in both Run defense and run capability.,Detroit and Philly have absolute dominance at tackles and explosive RB’s.
Detroit had a ton of key injuries on defense.
Rams have an edge in the passing game with Stafford, Puka and Adams, assuming all stay healthy and Adams doesn’t fall off.
Then two variables left are injuries and draft.
Knee was good enough to run 44 yards in the first half. And other than that one play - they did well against him in the first half.Hurts was nursing a knee issue and the snow helped the defense, IMO.
