I know some farmers but I guess throwing bull shit is out of the question. I'd still like to see the refs turned into the Cleveland Browns though. Of course, going through the gates I would hate to be mistaken for a whiners fan. You can sniff them out a mile away.

Surely we can rally hundreds between now and then. We have the powers of the interwebz!

You know how in that movie the mom was always sayin "you'll put an eye out"? A player once was injured in the eye by a flag. Orlando Brown. He sued for $200 M.

I'll think it over. We DO need a protest. What about yellow t-shirts that say something like YOU SUCK REFS in big bold letters and we all stand up? I don't know, just thinking out loud.

"Just thinking out loud - maybe we found live right where we are!"

Anyway, I do think the fans need to execute some sort of protest. I don't know if throwing flags all over the place is the right one, though.

But if you got enough people to do it, like, at least 200, it could send a real message.

I do remember that injury. Let me know if I can do anything to support the cause from a distance!

the fans need to do something. the reason they get away with this is because you can manipulate and cheat in a small market like the rams cus no one gives a fuck. fans need to push the boundary and speak out hard to gain national attention.

That always gets me into trouble. Thanks for the reminder. See you guys.

I love the idea...I think it was ATHOS that came up with it ..or at least mentioned it

Great idea fellas. Wish i could contribute. Something has to be done. LOVE the idea of hundreds of fans throwing makeshift flags onto the field but that would be hard to coordinate.
If you go with yellow T shirts, maybe they could simply say

"LET THE PLAYERS PLAY..."
PUT YOUR FLAGS AWAY"...
or something like that.

Why does your suggestion remind me of a double dog dare?

I love your idea but missing the game and maybe even getting banned...?

If there were hundreds of us maybe. Sneak down, throw it, haul ass?

Of course... it IS a Monday night game with national exposure... hmmmmm.

Where is @AnarchyRam ? We need his super powers.
you could definitely get something going easily getting hundreds. you have two weeks. get a thread going to collect everyone who has tickets to the game and decide on an idea. Then get the heads of this forum to reach out the the heads of other rams forums and collaborate the same idea. Im not local so this is on YOU guys and someones gotta step up.

I like the t-shirts with a good slogan. We could still do the flags but then we become easily spotted!

That was when refs could put buckshot in the flags. The ref threw the flag hard and AT the player and it hit Brown in the eye causing significant and permanent damage. That incident actually mandated a change in which the league insisted that refs could only put certain things in the flags.

Today's flags couldn't do that.

I wouldn't throw anything onto the field. Between video and stepped up surveillance and the fact that we're talking about it... that could get awful expensive for anyone who did it.

But maybe use some flashmob tactics! Post a set of instructions that Rams fans can download to their phones and put out the word to all rams fans. Something like

1) On the first call against the Rams, immediately start chanting, "REFS ARE BOUGHT! REFS ARE BOUGHT!" It's one thing if a chant like that were started and took time to catch on, but using flashmob techniques, the second they threw the flag, it'd hit and seem like an organic uprising. Other Rams fans will catch on much faster than if just a few guys start.

2) Alternate with slogans and "CHEATERS! CHEATERS!" Any slogans should be short and easily understandable. No more than four syllables. No swearing. It would be great if the broadcast team actually had to talk about the refereeing situation. Should only be 2 slogans so folks don't get confused.

That's my idea. It allows everyone who's a Ram fan in the stadium to be "part of the action" as well as to "be in on it". As well, no one has to risk jail or losing tickets or being barred from the stadium. Plus, stuff like that really pisses off the NFL because those kinds of slogans can't be filtered out of the feed. They're too intelligible.

Yeah, keep the message short, clear and clean, so the networks won't get nervous and so you're not violating any underlying morality clause.
I like mine, but i'm sure there are many that'll fit the criteria. :)

Yeah, I like yours too, but it doesn't address the bad calls so much as it sounds like you're protesting too many calls.

How about just getting a lot of people to bring yellow flags. Wave them like the Steelers do the Terrible Towels on calls against the Rams. Just a few towels would show up pretty nicely in a crowd I would think. Plus it's cheap with people bring their own.....

chant AND slogans would be good if its relentless after any big blown call. once wont gain attention but keep it up an entire game or more than one and it draws outside attention.

Hmmmmmm.

I'm liking where this going. I'm not big on throwing anything on the field or encouraging others. Well, I did try to get fans to throw bloody looking diapers on the field when AP was announced, but that's different. :sneaky:

I'm all for yellow t shirts with a slogan, yellow towels and we get a very simple chant going.
