Whenever Stafford hangs them up we’re going to trade for someone established that fits what we do, IMO. Assuming the right QB can be pry’d away ala Stafford.

Joe Burrow maybe, if he demands a trade or something whack in a year or two, if the Bengals keep sucking.

As far as Crosby goes, I have to wonder if we have that veteran leadership we had when we brought in Miller. We don’t have a Donald type player that I think would be all in on something like this but maybe that doesn’t matter. I have my doubts this is the direction they would go with this young defense.

I worry about the leadership with that group as well. Felt like it was missing against Seattle in the NFC Championship game.

But, finding that leadership doesn’t have to end with Crosby imo. There’s a few veteran leaders available on the market that will be a lot cheaper.

Burrow is in his prime but has now played three straight non-playoff seasons.

One more in 2026 and he will be 30 years old and POSSIBLY wondering ... Is Cincinnati the right place for me?

Even the Bengals may start wondering whether a change might not help them.

Stafford is probably just taking it 1 year at a time. No reason to make a decision right now and if he does tell mcSnead this is his last year maybe they will draft a QB at some point.
By comparison…Rodger’s is entering his 4th year of his farewell tour.

Just glad we didn't trade 13 for him personally. Deadset on a new edge? Good draft for one. I'm selfish, but I need us picking in the 1st round this year.

I'm relieved. Didn't want to lose next year's first round pick. Just in case shit goes south. It would suck to watch someone else take a QB with our pick.

Raiders did well to move his ass. They pick one behind us now after they get their QB at 1 overall.

Why do (not just) you think that, with Brady and Rodgers going to 42.
Back issues?
He has never played as well as last year.
Edit. And great receivers and a great coach and a great organization and he loves LA.
You didn’t ask me, but my first reaction to this is because I suspect Brady and Rodgers haven’t taken the beating that Stafford has over their respective careers.

Stafford has fewer years played and therefore less sacks taken, but the hits? Idk.

Yeah he was getting absolutely wrecked in Detroit. It’s halfway a miracle Stafford can still move the way he is, let alone play the way he is.

Welp. Id say AFC favorite.
Maybe. It’s not like they haven’t already been rolling out a stacked roster for years.

Maybe adding missing pieces hasn’t been the hurdle in Baltimore. Maybe the hurdle was Harbaugh(I doubt that). Maybe it’s Lamar.

Just something to consider.

Glad Crosby didn’t migrate to the NFC
