I know it has been mentioned several times here, but if the Rams can draft a stud linebacker... it could make this defense elite. Might not need the offense to be #1 anymore. Another strong DT and they could be equivalent to the 85 Bears or 2000 Ravens.

Or they could just take one at 61 or 93 or in the 6th. It just means they're looking at LB
Based on the reported interviews they are considering an LB with their 2nd round pick. They may have to move up R2 a bit to get whomever they want vs whomever is available.

Louis is extremely active and mobile, great range and tackling in space. I like that the Rams are showing interest in him.

Also he dominated in Senior Bowl week. Him and that TCU safety were the top defensive standouts.

Golday and Louis are interesting as they don't seem to be your traditional off ball LB types. Maybe they Rams are entertaining bringing the slot LB to the league and blitzing a lot more.

It wouldn't shock me one bit if both were still on the board at #61.

This might be my favorite draft in recent memory for the rams. Given their roster construction, there's not a single position other than special teams that I think they couldn't justifiably take at 13. Even the guard from Penn state. Are the rams going to pay both Dotson and Avila in 2027? Probably not. So getting an amazing successor might be the way to go.

Idk personally I think I'd be very surprised if we took a S, ILB, RB, DT, Edge, or backup OL at 13. Mildly surprised if we took a no.3 CB, TE, or backup QB. Fully expecting a WR.

I could be wrong and have been before but personally that's the way I think we've constructed the roster to this point in the offseason leaving a spot open for a premium pick at WR with a surplus of them expected to go right around the area of 13.

NFL.com:
Golday’s traits, explosiveness and field demeanor should make him an early special teams standout with the potential to eventually start at Sam or inside linebacker.

Seems to potentially fit the apparent new team emphasis on special teams

Well, it depends on the player to me. Sonny Styles at 13? Hard to turn down. Same for Caleb Downs, Bain or Bailey and Love (I get that some of these are unlikely). At some point the players get too good to pass up. Same with corner. We run the most dime in the nfl, so it's very rare that we don't have at least 3 corners on the field. I wouldn't mind all 3 being shutdown guys. We'd have the best secondary in the nfl by far. I wouldn't rule out the Rams being the team that most wants to trade down as well.

I don't disagree with CB, that's why it's on the mildly surprised list with Delane and McCoy at that position. I'd be mildly surprised by Sadiq at TE or Simpson at QB as well. All the rest of the guys I'd expect us to take at 13 would be WRs barring a trade and that list is 6 options deep with Tate, Tyson, Cooper, Lemon, Concepcion, and Boston in no order.

For your list, Downs and Styles I could sleep at night passing on, but I know that might be an unpopular opinion. Bain, Bailey, and Love like you mentioned are extremely unlikely but would be 3 guys I'd have to consider taking and moving on from a veteran at those positions if they somehow fell.

I can see the reason in that. I personally love Styles and Downs, but I'd definitely not choose them there if I only liked them.

Cornerback Latrell McCutchin Sr. sat on his combine marks, which were much better than expected, then looked outstanding in position drills. A terrific cornerback, teams are looking at McCutchin as much for his special-teams ability on coverage units. In fact, the Minnesota Vikings sent their special teams coordinator to the workout. The Los Angeles Rams, Denver Broncos, and Tennessee Titans have shown strong interest in McCutchin.

Golday looks like a 3 down backer who can get off blocks, make the tackle and he does well in coverage.
I’d like to see him in horns ahead of Speights next season.
Think he started out as an Edge. But either way he looks good up on the LOS and has good range behind it. 4.6 forty at his size isn't bad.
