Drew Wilkins! I forgot about him. I'm an idiot.
Man, I am getting old ... By-the-Way, this would be an excellent time for some kind ROD posters to disagree with me and suggest I still have some good years remaining.
I sometimes mention that living in NYC, I get a ton of Jets and Giants' stuff.
Wilkins was hired to be the Giants' LB-coach in 2022. He came with new Defensive Coordinator Don "Wink" Martindale; and was referred to as "Martindale's right-hand-man in Baltimore". Martinadale was considered to be a terrific hire when he came-on-board with Brian Daboll.
The Giants had a surprisingly successful 2022 but the bottom dropped-out in 2023. There were tons of reports that Daboll and Martindale clashed and fought. Now this is NY Sports Media. Sometimes it is dead-on ... other times their reporting is complete bull-shit.
After 2023, Daboll fired Wilkins (and his brother who was also on the staff). Martindale resigned later that day.
If was speculated that Daboll fired Wilkins to force Wink's hand. Wilkins subsequently went to New England.
You guys may recall that Wink Martindale's defense was an aggressive and frequent blitz-package-unit.
