It’s probably the most exciting thing that will happen in baseball this year:

Deserves a thread of its own. Criminally underrated/overlooked player

I actually thought about it. I'm one of his biggest fans... I even named my dog (Blade) after him back then.

I'm a little too young (a super rare thing for me to be able to say these days) to have been a Roman Gabriel fan, so for me Jimmy was our first stud QB that I had high expectations for and felt he was all ours because we got him right out of college. The Italian Stallion (Vince) was my previous favorite QB of ours, but he always felt like a short term rental to me.

He was definitely underrated and under appreciated... and I blame most of that on the poisonous cloud (That woman) that constantly rained pure rot all over the team. Many ill informed people who rag on him because of the infamous Phantom Sack bs were probably fan boys of the bitch Jim Rome or just simply not a Ram fan anyway. All QBs take dives like that to avoid getting killed or turning the ball over when the situation calls for it... especially back then when you could literally head hunt QBs and make kill shots with no penalty.

Very much aligned with you on this, although I was a big Ferragamo guy and was furious he went to canada because they wouldnt pay him.
I followed Everett since college days, he beat Notre Dame twice and while that should have made him public enemy #1, he made me a fan instead because he beat Michigan and OSU too
I'll never forget when my dad told me that the Rams traded for him, I couldnt believe it. I was petrified he was going to the 49ers and my dad was such an asshole I thought he wanted to fool me in to believing he was a Ram when he really went to the 9ers. Haha

I was so pumped to find out the Rams traded for him. I wasn’t too happy that DE William Fuller was included in that trade though. Kent Hill 2 first round picks and a fifth was enough imo. But, I was so happy to have Everett on the Rams. He threw a nice long ball and paired well with Flipper Anderson.
