Yeah.Me too. Friedman didnt seem to concerned after the game. 5 is a gamer he'll be ready to go come next Saturday night.
Just a gutty win, gutty series win. Like where this team is at.Yeah.
I relaxed a little once I heard Friedman talking about it.
Freemen getting hurt makes that win last night even more important.
It gives him more time to heal and rest up
Giddy up. Just need a few guys to get hot and carry us.Walker looked great yesterday.
Hopefully it’s a sign that he’s returning to form.
Getting Glasgow back would be huge.
Our bullpen looks strong.
Flaherty and Buehler. Yamamoto will go game 3.Dodgers secured a first round bye. Have a chance to secure the top seed. Some people prefer not having a bye. It allows some teams to stay hot. I wouldn't say the Dodgers are all that hot. Or cold. I think for them it allows them to set their pitching rotation so their top two guys start the two games at home. Flaherty and Yamamoto.
I'm just not sure this is the year for them to go deep. Too many injuries to starting pitchers. Woulda been nice to have Glasnow and Stone. Buehler's starting to come around but he's nowhere near what he was before the injury. Maybe the intensity of post season play will bring more out of him?
Whatever the case next year sure looks like it could be set up better for them. Guys like May and Stone will have a chance to compete. Ohtani will be pitching at some point. I know Flaherty's a half year rental but I think they should re-sign him. They need a guy who cans stay healthy for the most part. We all knew Glasnow has an injury history. And no surprise he's probably not available. At least for the first round.
The drama!!! 11 times they've met. More than any other two teams. 4 times it went 7 games. There's something magical about a West Coast/East Coast World Series. The travel. The game times with TV requiring earlier than normal starts on the West Coast. The brisk October air on the East Coast. DiMaggio vs Jackie Robinson. Mantle vs Snider. Reggie vs Welch. I remember in 1977, the Dodgers had 4 guys with 30 homers or more, IIRC the first time that happened. Those 4 did hit 6 in the World Series. I remember in 1978, a close game. Guidry/Nettles vs Garvey and Lopes with the bases loaded. I also remember 1981. Lemon pinch hitting for Tommy John in the 4th inning of a 1-1 game 6. Dumbass!! It's been 43 years. Time for another one!Yanks Vs Dodgers
Judge Vs Ohtani
Soto Vs Mookie
Cole Vs Yamamoto
Sign me the Heck up!!!!
Its Our Time.It looks like the Padres this weekend.
They make me nervous.
I certainly hope so.Its Our Time.
We'll beat SD
Yeah he is a real tool same as Tatis....I certainly hope so.
It’s not that I doubt our Dodgers, but SD is tough.
….and I can’t stand Machado
I still remember the Reggie Jackson hip move. That one pissed me off so much. We probably go up 3 games to 2 if that doesn't happen. The drama!!! 11 times they've met. But we do have OhtaniMy biggest concern has been that I don't think the Dodgers have enough pitching to get to the World Series. Yamamoto gives up 5 runs in 3 innings. Not a good start.
As a Yankee fan, I saw nothing wrong with it! But I loved hearing the soundbites of Lasorda. There was another good soundbite of him after Brian Doyle singled and as he was walking to the mound he muttered "Brian Ruth Doyle"....loved Lasorda. Despite being a Yankee fan, I felt great for him in 81, after going through the Jackson hip twist, Doyle being an unexpected hero, Nettles robbing the Dodgers of a win, to have finally won it all. Great man for baseball. A class act with a great sense of humor and humility.I still remember the Reggie Jackson hip move. That one pissed me off so much. We probably go up 3 games to 2 if that doesn't happen.
