Yeah, he sure turned that quick deficit around with one swing. Like most big homerun hitters he does strike out a lot. But if that one time he doesn't goes over the fence I'm fine with that. He's also a clutch hitter with runners one base. Where would the Dodgers be without him? SD had the Dodgers number most the season. This is a series I was more concerned about. Its good to get that first one.
Teo was clutch again last night as well.
It was fun watching Machado stand at the plate last night for a ball caught by Teo at the warning track.
Yeah Lasorda was a good guyAs a Yankee fan, I saw nothing wrong with it!But I loved hearing the soundbites of Lasorda. There was another good soundbite of him after Brian Doyle singled and as he was walking to the mound he muttered "Brian Ruth Doyle"....loved Lasorda. Despite being a Yankee fan, I felt great for him in 81, after going through the Jackson hip twist, Doyle being an unexpected hero, Nettles robbing the Dodgers of a win, to have finally won it all. Great man for baseball. A class act with a great sense of humor and humility.

Yeah. Amazing that the bullpen held the Pads scoreless after the 3rd. Who would have expected that?
They've been better lately. Started the season looking like the best bullpen in baseball. Then hit a tough stretch where it seemed like they all went into a collective slump. Now it looks like they're getting back to where they were. Treinen's sweeper is tough on hitters.
When you draw 4 Million fans there is always one or 2 that act out. Also who is to say it wasn't Padres fans??

I can understand the fan who got the ball from Profar and threw it on the field. He seemed 'normal'. But those throwing at the bullpen, right field and Profar. Not good. It doesn't matter whether or not Profar, Tatis and Machado are "douchebags". I wouldn't be surprised if Padre fans thought similarly towards Dodger players. I understand the rivalry.....third time they meet in the last 5 years. But there's no place for that and it only incentivizes Padre fans to return the favor. Should be interesting tonight.

Also I don't think there is ANY fanbase that thinks that of Betts Ohtani and Freeman....now they are ALL class compared to the 3 jerks in SD.....
I never said Yankee fans were. Far from it. They may be the most creative though.
IMO, that doesn't matter. Any time a fanbase believes opposing players are "jerks", "douchebags", etc., it's mainly because they've been a thorn in their side. If they weren't, the fans wouldn't complain about them.
