If OTC is correct, it appears that trading Noteboom would cost the Rams cap space in 2024.That’s not the point! The point is getting away from Noteboom! Lmao

If he does & gets put back on the 53, I don't think a trade will be the issue, though. Not among fans , anyway. I think Dedich vs Noteboom for the start at LG will heat up faster than a ho's crotch in Fleet Week.Yeah….we should probably revisit this early next week and see if he gets through practice
Note definitely has value as a back up here.If he does & gets put back on the 53, I don't think a trade will be the issue, though. Not among fans , anyway. I think Dedich vs Noteboom for the start at LG will heat up faster than a ho's crotch in Fleet Week.
I haven't looked at Dedich's game yet to even form my usual half-assedly amateur opinion, but I thought he was only marginally better than Bruss vs LV & looked like he got saved by some stellar pick-ups from the RBs last night. I do like how balanced he stays. Kinda the guard version of Kyren; he turns lack of stature/length into an edge.
Noteboom has always been a bit waist bendy, no ? Even more since the Achilles. You'd still like to have him as the swing tackle, though. Sadly, Darrisaw's freak injury only emphasized that. Who was the swing for LAR last night, anyway ? McClendon ? That's a sphincter-winker of a thought, isn't it ?
Given O'Connell's familiarity, it would be interesting to see if MINN view Boom as that big an improvement, if any, over Quiverberry (spelling ? haha..), but I also doubt the Rams would want to shallow the OL depth even fractionally after the nightmare they've gone through. And why try to save the season of a top NFC rival even if Boom seems more trojan horse than savior ? Then again, I wouldn't piss on a Vikes fan if they caught on fire in front of me, so I might not be entirely objective here .
So no difference for myself. As I am already praying Jackson stays healthy. If a long-shot deal is made, then we need to pray that Jackson stays healthy.
He’s probably the best option for Havenstein too right? Valuable guy for sure, considering Staff’s been knocked around enough for one career.Joe Noteboom is the Rams only decent LT option should Alaric Jackson be injured.

Good News is that Noteboom is not under contract for 2025.I hope to see Noteboom moved this offseason, as I have said before, "he is made out of glass".
Its between him and McClendonHe’s probably the best option for Havenstein too right? Valuable guy for sure, considering Staff’s been knocked around enough for one career.
Avoiding the question of how good our depth actually was prior to this season...Bottom line:
This is a deeper OL than the Rams have had in a while.
Can’t say I agree with you this time, Merlin.Avoiding the question of how good our depth actually was prior to this season...
We have no depth at LT. If we lose Jackson at any point it is season over. Boom is a mirage.
Once we get Avila back we will have excellent depth at OG.
At C we are fucked if we lose Limmer. Once Jackson returns we will be good there on depth.
RT depth is not good. McClendon is sloppy and gets overpowered. I'd say he is a cut below an ideal depth RT.
So in summary I'd say our interior OL depth is good. And our tackle depth is subpar.
I don't mind disagreement. Can’t say I agree with you this time, Merlin.
These are the exact same Tackles as last year and they played pretty well. McClendon is the #4 guy who looked better on the right side vs the left, for sure. The triumvirate of Noteboom, AJ, and Havenstein are about as good a trio as you’re gonna find out there, despite no All Pros in the bunch. Having more than one of those guys out at a time would be a problem (which we have seen), and sadly, is realistic—I’ll give you that.
I would like to take the time to give a shout out to Justin Dedich.
Maybe he looked a little lost out there in his first game, but he played fantastic in only his second start on Thursday night. The IOL is loaded once JJ and Avila return.
Every time I look at or do a mock I'm torn between cb and an ot, either side. Think as always it depends on where we draft.I don't mind disagreement.
Boom is gone this offseason. The Rams have finally realized he is a mirage I think.
Tackle is the biggest need in the offseason. Rams may gamble on Jackson because it simplifies the offseason. But what I would do is tag him then go get a LT in the draft to fix our tackle problem.
CB is definitely a need. But generally you have a better chance of finding a corner round 2 or 3 than you do LT. There just aren't enough of those big boys.Every time I look at or do a mock I'm torn between cb and an ot, either side. Think as always it depends on where we draft.
Yeah i get it but I think there are 3 or 4 LT that look right now like 2nd round picks. We'd obviously have to trade down and pick one up but they could be starting LT. And like you've said I think we could add 2 tackles this coming draft.CB is definitely a need. But generally you have a better chance of finding a corner round 2 or 3 than you do LT. Once Avila and J. Jackson return-Since Limmer and Dedich are playing decent to well on the interior is there anyway we can slide Avila to either Tackle spot if need be? I’d rather not see McClendon or AJ Arcuri anywhere close to Matthew Stafford. And I know for a fact that Noteboom is damaged goods and unreliable from play to play. Im happy to see the depth we are building on the interior OLineAvoiding the question of how good our depth actually was prior to this season...
