Eli Ricks CB Alabama
OC from USC
Keidron Smith CB Kentuky
Aubrey Miller Jr LB Jackso St
Quindell Johnson SAF Memphis
Jalen Moreno WR Fresno State

I haven't seen these players on a list yet, wonder if we pick any of them up?
This list is what I was hoping for..... Eli Ricks & Keidron Smith at CB ,,,,, and, I think Q Johnson is a better Safety then Jason Taylor

The Rams moved away from strictly a zone-blocking scheme. They use inside zone blocked plays more than outside zone and as much or more of a power blocking scheme trying to use it without a lead blocker. Also, they use occasional straight gap man blocking as well. Inside runs make for better play action so McVay finally moved to mostly between the tackles in his run attack. Until now they haven't had the OL for those inside run plays.

Our running scheme is still built around the one-cut-and-go skillset. Tucker dances too much, doesn't hit holes with authority, and looked very indecisive in 2022.

Two UDFA that unless they totally mess up their TC are going to make the roster are Center McAllister, and OG/C Maginn. Sean Maginn IMO should make this roster. I can see Sean in the mix to start at LG. Mike McAllister probably replaces Shelton on the depth chart next year if not before.

I think McVay found out what a lot of teams have as well, that if you want a OG then draft an OG. It takes too long to convert the average OT to OG. Jackson is the exception not the rule. The skill set and the techniques are totally different.

Most centers are between 6'2"-6'4" 300-310 lbs because they need to be fairly mobile. The position often requires them to block on the second level. Allen, Shelton and McAllister fall into those ranges. Arm length and strength and most of all proper technique are more important. Apparently new OL coach Wendell specifically asked that Shelton be extended because he's more athletic than most centers.

Yes!!! here is our Return guy..... he may even knock some of the existing receivers down the depth chart
Right on! I looked it up and yes he has done a little of it not with amazing results but there's experience there. Coach must have liked what he saw and will give him a shot. ESPN's stats are screwed though it says his long this year was a 111 kick return which is impossible lol must be a game with that many yards?

Thanks!

This List (no particular order) comes from a number of unverified sources.

Rams Undrafted Free Agents (REPORTED)
Jordan Jones (CB)
Jaiden Woodbey (S / LB)
Alex Ward (LS)
Tiyon Evans (RB)
Christopher Dunn (PK)
Timarcus Davis (CB/S) … reported to include a $9,000 signing bonus
Kelechi Anyalebechi (LB)
Tyon Davis (CB)
Tanner Ingle (S)
Christian Sims (TE)
Mike McAllister (C)
Sean Maginn (OL)
Rashad Torrence (S)
DeAndre Square (LB)
Xavier Smith (WR) … reported to include a $5,000 signing bonus
Quindell Johnson (S) … reported to include a $30,000 signing bonus
Tanner Brown (PK) … reported to include a $3,000 signing bonus

That's 17 players.

Signing Bonus counts against the 2023 salary cap, even if the player does not make the roster. Would indicate Quindell Johnson is well-regarded and a priority signing. Would still take the accuracy of this List with a grain-of-salt; and, of course, these signings are a work-in-progress.
